The&nbsp;<em>Washington Post<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2022\/02\/09\/canada-freedom-convoy-alberta-ambassador-bridge\/\">further reported<\/a> that the border remained blocked as of Wednesday and that truckers had said they had no intention of moving on until Justin Trudeau \u201cmoves\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Alberta\u2019s acting Justice Minister&nbsp;Sonya Savage stated Tuesday that the government and the police were looking into possible charges against the protestors for violating the&nbsp;provincial Traffic Safety Act and the Critical Infrastructure Defence Act, the latter of which could see the protestors get prison time.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Supporters of Canada\u2019s anti-mandate, trucker-led Freedom Convoy movement shut down traffic on the Ambassador Bridge on Monday. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jpgRpD7RK4\">https:\/\/t.co\/jpgRpD7RK4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1491211246594670593?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 9, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Savage added that Alberta authorities may also invoke legislation that would allow them to seize the property of the protestors saying, \u201cThose are pretty expensive vehicles that are on the side of the road, tractors and other equipment that could be seized and forfeited to the Crown.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Protest organiser&nbsp;Marco Van Huigenbos stated that the protestors were willing to entirely close the border after agreeing to keep a single lane in both directions open last week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe blockade, you know, affects southern Alberta and Alberta negatively&nbsp;\u2026 we understand that,\u201d he said and added, \u201cSo closing off the border, 100 per cent, all the time, is not something we want to do. It is something we are prepared to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The resumption of the blockade comes as Alberta Premier Jason Kenney scrapped the province\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/08\/canada-alberta-will-end-mandated-vaccine-passports-at-midnight\/\">vaccine passport<\/a> this week but stated that the QR code system will remain in place if businesses wanted to enforce the vaccine passport on their own.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Coutts morning update.
