It\u2019s due to the Ambassador Bridge partial closure. Drivers are trying to enter Canada from Port Huron. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FOX2News?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@FOX2News<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/hHeLH8ZlBl\">pic.twitter.com\/hHeLH8ZlBl<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Brandon Hudson (@BHudTV) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BHudTV\/status\/1491485444269395980?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 9, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>\u201cI\u2019ve already heard from automakers and food grocers. This is really a serious cause for concern,\u201d Canadian Transport Minister Omar Alghabra told the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-us-canada-60320874\"><span>BBC<\/span><\/a><span> on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe disruption of the Ambassador Bridge is an attack on the well-being of our citizens and the businesses that employ them. As our economies emerge from the impacts of the pandemic, we cannot allow any group to undermine the cross-border trade that supports families on both sides of the border,\u201d a coalition of U.S. and Canadian businesses said in a statement released on Tuesday night.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens and Police Chief Pam Mizuno held a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/windsor\/ambassador-bridge-protest-third-day-windsor-1.6344647\"><span>press conference<\/span><\/a><span> on Wednesday in which they said about a hundred protesters are blocking the bridge with 50 to 75 vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cYou have a number of people who are on the ground here in the protest group that have outwardly stated that this cause is so passionate for them, they feel such a passion for this particular cause, that they\u2019re willing to die for it. I think one can appreciate that if you have people that hold that sentiment, the situation can escalate to become very dangerous for police and those members of the public in very short order,\u201d Dilkens said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Windsor police officials described the demonstrators as mostly \u201ccordial\u201d but determined.
