He said the GOP would also look into whether President Joe Biden and his family made millions of dollars in deals with the Chinese Government while Biden was vice president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we take the majority, we will create that committee on China, and it will be a bipartisan committee, so you will have one American voice on how we can compete where China comes in and captures the critical minerals when they come in and capture our medical supply and others,\u201d McCarthy said on Fox News this past Sunday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/kevin-mccarthy-committee-on-china-covid19-if-gop-wins-house-2022-2\">according to<\/a> Business Insider.<\/p>\n<p>During that interview, McCarthy brought up a claim from Peter Schweizer, president of the right-leaning think tank Government Accountability Institute, who in January said Biden\u2019s family had received \u201csome $31 million from Chinese individuals who are linked to the highest levels of Chinese intelligence\u201d while Biden was vice president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe might have to go further. You might just have to be able to have a further investigation just within this family. What are they doing, and where did this money come from?\u201d McCarthy added during his interview on Fox. \u201cYou take the actions of the Democrats \u2014 I do not know what China has on these people, but it must be so powerful because the actions at every turn stop and harm us but protect China.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McCarthy previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/kevin-mccarthy-to-launch-7-investigations-into-biden-admin-on-day-1-if-gop-wins-majority-in-house\">said<\/a> he would launch seven investigations into the Biden administration if Republicans won a majority in the House of Representatives, Axios <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/republicans-biden-probes-house-majority-25bc5f7a-269e-44c8-94dc-4700574112ca.html\">reported<\/a> in December. The outlet noted that the seven investigations would include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>IRS:&nbsp;<\/strong>Leak&nbsp;of a \u201cvast cache of IRS information\u201d about billionaires to ProPublica.<\/li>\n<li><strong>National Security Agency:&nbsp;<\/strong>Tucker Carlson last summer&nbsp;accused&nbsp;the spy agency of targeting his show\u2019s communications. The NSA&nbsp;said&nbsp;he was never an \u201cintelligence target.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parents:&nbsp;<\/strong>Attorney General Merrick Garland\u2019s&nbsp;vow&nbsp;to&nbsp;mobilize&nbsp;the FBI against \u201cthreats of violence against school board members,\u201d after the National School Boards Association used the phrase \u201cdomestic terrorism.\u201d The association&nbsp;apologized&nbsp;for its letter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Border:&nbsp;<\/strong>Record&nbsp;levels of illegal immigration.<\/li>\n<li><strong>COVID:&nbsp;<\/strong>Origins of the virus, and CDC communications about school closures and mask mandates.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Afghanistan:&nbsp;<\/strong>Decisions behind the withdrawal, and an accounting of Americans who remain stranded.<\/li>\n<li><strong>JEDI:&nbsp;<\/strong>A&nbsp;disputed&nbsp;cloud-computing contract.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/exclusive-hunter-bidens-allegedly-lucrative-arrangement-with-china-energy-fund-committee\">reported<\/a> in November, a book from New York Post columnist Miranda Devine claims that the Bidens were tied to China\u2019s \u201cBelt and Road\u201d imperialism. As The Daily Wire reported:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Hunter Biden arranged multiple business deals with close allies of Chinese President Xi Jinping, squeezing $6 million out of the relationship before things went sour, according to Devine.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Hunter\u2019s association with the Chinese allegedly comes through a business partnership he opened with the China Energy Fund Committee (CEFC). \u201cCEFC was the capitalist arm of President Xi Jinping\u2019s imperialist Belt and Road Initiative to export Chinese influence around the world,\u201d writes Devine.
