At one point, Rogan referred to a black neighborhood as \u201cPlanet of the Apes.\u201d Rogan immediately took to social media and apologized for his language.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not my word to use. I\u2019m well aware of that now, but for years I used it in that manner,\u201d Rogan said. \u201cI never used it to be racist, because I\u2019m not racist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut whenever you\u2019re in a situation where you have to say, \u2018I\u2019m not racist,\u2019 you fucked up. And I clearly have fucked up,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Bokhari: &#8220;[Joe] Rogan is making a classic error \u2014 assuming the torrent of hate he\u2019s facing comes from a place of good faith, and that he can make it go away by addressing the mob\u2019s concerns, apologizing, and pledging to do better.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/wCcU1NezEz\">https:\/\/t.co\/wCcU1NezEz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1490791659642179584?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 7, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Prior to that, when Spotify announced it would be adding a \u201ccontent advisory\u201d warning to all episodes that discuss topics like the coronavirus after multiple creators pulled their work from the platform of Joe Rogan, the famed podcaster <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/30\/watch-joe-rogan-responds-spotify-content-advisories-vows-balance-opposing-viewpoints\/\">said that he supported<\/a>&nbsp;the decision and even vowed to moderate himself.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>One of things Spotify wants to do, that I agree with, is that at the beginning of these controversial podcasts\u2014specifically the ones about COVID\u2014is to put a Disclaimer and say that you should speak with your physician and that these people and the opinions that they express are contrary to the opinions of the consensus of experts, which I think is very important. Sure. Have that on there.
