The latest private jet expenditure was reported in August when her campaign paid the Virginia-based company Advanced Aviation Team $67,604.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe verdict of science is clear: climate change is real, and its consequences are undeniable,\u201d a page on Pelosi\u2019s official website <a href=\"https:\/\/pelosi.house.gov\/issues\/energy-and-environment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">states<\/a>. \u201cRising seas, savage droughts, devastating wildfires and increasingly extreme and unpredictable weather patterns are impacting every nation on every continent \u2013 and communities across America are already feeling the effects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemocrats know that combatting the existential threat of the climate crisis is a public health decision to safeguard our clean air and clean water; an economic decision to create jobs and ensure America\u2019s global preeminence in green technology; a national security decision to prevent global instability; and a moral decision to be good stewards of God\u2019s creation,\u201d Pelosi\u2019s website says.<\/p>\n<p>Private jets emit 5-14 times more carbon pollution than commercial planes and 50 times more than trains, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transportenvironment.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/2021_05_private_jets_FINAL.pdf\">according<\/a> to a May 2021 analysis from the European clean energy advocacy group Transport &amp; Environment. They were joined by global counterparts who crafted a climate deal that <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/01\/united-nations-climate-pledge-john-kerry-global-warming\/\">fell far short<\/a> of environmental activists\u2019 expectations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAddressing the rapidly changing climate is a matter of justice and equality, with the most vulnerable most affected,\u201d the top House Democrat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.speaker.gov\/newsroom\/11921-0\">said<\/a> during her remarks at the conference. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/04\/ralph-norman-joe-biden-administration-green-energy-interests\/\">(RELATED: Top Republican Pushes Probes Into Biden Administration Ties To Green Energy Interests)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>White House climate czar John Kerry, one of the officials who jetted to COP26, has also been <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/07\/climate-envoy-john-kerry-took-private-jet-obama-birthday-bash\/\">criticized<\/a> for his private plane usage.
