He said yes probably about a week before, so it was kind of a whirlwind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The young man even paid for Audrey\u2019s dress, shoes, hair, and makeup for the special night out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe just felt like a princess all night,\u201d Holly recalled.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>In a social media post January 28, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/holly.soape\/posts\/10165995325240072\">shared<\/a> photos of the pair with big smiles on their faces enjoying the dance:<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-post\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/holly.soape\/posts\/10165995325240072\" data-width=\"640\">\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/721710071\/posts\/10165995325240072\/\" class=\"fb-xfbml-parse-ignore\">\n<p>I&#8217;m still at a complete loss of words, and I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ll ever really grasp how incredible this night was. Audrey\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Posted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/local\/2022\/02\/05\/watch-nfl-player-takes-girl-to-daddy-daughter-dance-after-father-passes-away-blessed-beyond-measure\/#\" role=\"button\">Holly Soape<\/a> on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/721710071\/posts\/10165995325240072\/\">Friday, January 28, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThis was truly a night to remember, and I don\u2019t think I\u2019ll ever fully wrap my mind around it,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Although Audrey initially felt nervous about meeting her date, he eased her nerves by asking questions and chatting about football.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&nbsp;was very nervous because I didn\u2019t know what I was going to say,\u201d she commented.&nbsp;\u201cAt first it was kind of awkward because we weren\u2019t talking yet\u2026 But then he kind of came up and started talking to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Holly shared her thanks for Harris\u2019s kind gesture in the aftermath of such a difficult year for the middle schooler.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI was so anxious and excited for her because she just had the most terrible year,\u201d she noted. \u201cFor&nbsp;someone to show up and to teach her that people do show up for you, it\u2019s just been beyond a blessing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust the power of God and how he makes these situations happen has just been unbelievable and remarkable,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Following the event that took place near Austin, Harris <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=p14lUi8i4iM\">said<\/a> he was simply trying to be a human:<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>\u201cTrying to take off the helmet, trying to take off the cape of what I do professionally and show some sympathy for that family and try to show some support there,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Philadelphia Eagles player went the extra mile and then some for a Texas girl who recently experienced heartbreak.
