Now, thankfully, the Freedom Convoy could be coming to DC with American Truckers who want to protest Biden\u2019s ridiculous Covid policies.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Freedom Convoy is a Canadian-based group of truckers protesting far-left Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau\u2019s vaccine mandates. Trudeau began requiring truckers crossing the Canadian border to show proof of vaccination starting January 15.<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/21\/truckers-required-show-proof-vaccination-enter-country\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">implemented<\/a>&nbsp;a similar vaccination requirement for border crossers on January 22.<\/p>\n<p>After traveling to Canada\u2019s capital city Ottawa, the Freedom Convoy plans to travel to Washington, DC.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Friday\u2019s statement is not the first time Trump showed support for the truckers. At his rally in Texas last weekend, Trump&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/29\/trump-praises-canadian-freedom-convoy-protesting-trudeaus-vaccine-mandates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;the truckers were \u201cdoing more to defend American freedom than our own leaders by far.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>New Jersey State Senator Ed Durr (R), a former trucker who stunned the nation when he defeated longtime Senate president Stephen Sweeney last November, also signaled his support for the truckers during an exclusive&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/03\/exclusive-nj-trucker-sen-ed-durr-supports-canada-freedom-convoy-when-the-wheels-stop-the-world-stops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a>&nbsp;with Breitbart News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think their voices definitely need to be heard. I think the only way that people hear things is when you protest,\u201d Durr&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/03\/exclusive-nj-trucker-sen-ed-durr-supports-canada-freedom-convoy-when-the-wheels-stop-the-world-stops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, big tech is doing everything in their power to silence the truckers\u2019 voices. GoFundMe&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2022\/02\/02\/take-that-truckers-gofundme-freezes-10-million-canadian-freedom-convoy-fundraiser\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">froze<\/a>&nbsp;a fundraiser entitled \u201cFreedom Convoy 2022\u201d on Wednesday after the page had raised more than $10 million. Additionally, Facebook&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/facebook-dc-trucker-page-freedom-convoy-censorship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deleted<\/a>&nbsp;a U.S.-based convoy group called \u201cConvoy to D.C. 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey like to silence people that speak the truth,\u201d&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/facebook-dc-trucker-page-freedom-convoy-censorship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;Jeremy Johnson, an organizer of the Facebook page. Johnson also had his personal account removed from the platform.<\/p>\n<p>In his statement, Trump called out big tech\u2019s censorship and highlighted his upcoming social media platform, TruthSocial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFacebook is canceling the accounts of Freedom Convoy USA, and GoFundMe is denying access to funds that belong to the Freedom Convoy,\u201d Trump said. \u201cThis is unacceptable and extremely dangerous in any country that values free expression.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTruthSocial is announcing today that we are welcoming the Freedom Convoy with open arms to communicate freely on TruthSocial when we launch \u2013 coming very soon,\u201d Trump added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former President Donald Trump showed support for the \u201cfreedom convoy\u201d of truckers protesting vaccine mandates for the second time in one week.
