Larry Hogan.<\/p>\n<p>Hogan, who will be term-limited out of the governor\u2019s mansion after the 2022 election cycle, has been pushed to run for Senate this year by some Republicans, who believe he presents a real chance to win a seat in a heavily-blue state. Now, allies of Senate Democrats are running ads attacking the governor before he\u2019s even announced a potential campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Save My Care, a Democrat-aligned group dedicated to protecting the Affordable Care Act, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">launched a new ad campaign<\/a> in February attacking Hogan for an alleged \u201cnursing crisis\u201d during the COVID-19 pandemic. The ad blames Hogan for difficulties faced by some nurses in renewing their licenses.<\/p>\n<p>The organization spent more than $300,000 to run the ad in the Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C. media markets, according to a report on the ad buy reviewed by the Daily Caller.<\/p>\n<p>Save My Care, along with connected organization Protect Our Care, are staffed up by former consultants, pollsters and operatives for Democratic Senate campaigns. The organization is <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.sos.wv.gov\/business\/charities\/detail.aspx?OrgID=23797\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">registered as a charity<\/a> to contact Brad Woodhouse, a former communications director for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and several Democratic lawmakers.<\/p>\n<p>Woodhouse is also the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.protectourcare.org\/brad-woodhouse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">executive director<\/a> of Protect Our Care, another <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/28\/maryland-democrats-lawsuit-fair-maps-gerrymandering-2022-midterms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Democratic<\/a> healthcare advocacy group. Members of Protect Our Care\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.protectourcare.org\/advisory-board\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">leadership team<\/a> include Geoff Garin, a former staffer and pollster for numerous Democratic Senators, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jenningsps.com\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chris Jennings<\/a>, a former Senate staffer who\u2019s now a Democratic healthcare consultant and Luke Albee, former chief of staff to Democratic Senators Mark Warner and Patrick Leahy.<\/p>\n<p>The ad campaign began after Hogan\u2019s wife, Yumi, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/11\/elaine-chao-larry-hogan-maryland-senate-mcconnell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">met with<\/a> Elaine Chao, the former Transportation Secretary and wife of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, where the latter advocated for a Hogan Senate run. Good luck fellas.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/12\/larry-hogan-america-united-2022-maryland-legislative-session\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Larry Hogan Supporters Launch New Ad Campaign Ahead Of Maryland Legislative Session)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Save My Care has no other content of any kind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.savemycare.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">on its website<\/a> other than the ad attacking Hogan. Its Twitter account <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SaveMyCare\/status\/1488528062983688197\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">had not tweeted<\/a> in nearly seven months before tweeting the attack ad against Hogan. Save My Care also has the same parent organization as Protect Our Care, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/for-profit\/arabella-advisors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arabella Advisors<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hogan has publicly downplayed speculation on a Senate run, saying he\u2019s focused on serving out his term as governor.
