The 44-year-old <em>jihadist <\/em>said he was holding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/rabbi-held-hostage-in-texas-synagogue-says-active-shooter-training-saved-lives-from-belligerent-terrorist\">Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker<\/a> and three others inside the Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas, in hopes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/kevin-mccarthy-hammers-biden-administration-over-texas-synagogue-hostage-situation\">freeing<\/a> imprisoned, Pakistani-born terrorist Aafia Siddiqui, who is nicknamed \u201cLady al-Qaeda.\u201d Puzzlingly, the FBI initially <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-fbi-changes-tune-on-synagogue-hostage-situation-the-jewish-community-was-targeted\">claimed<\/a> this act of terror \u201cwas not,\u201d in the words of FBI Special Agent in Charge Matt DeSarno, \u201cspecifically related to the Jewish community.\u201d To his credit, President Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/this-was-an-act-of-terror-biden-condemns-anti-semitism-promises-security-for-synagogues-churches-after-hostage-scene\">insisted<\/a>, \u201cThis was an act of terror\u201d motivated by anti-Semitism, and the FBI corrected the record the next day to read, \u201cThis is a terrorism-related matter, in which the Jewish community was targeted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the FBI\u2019s initial denial of reality represents an improvement over the Left\u2019s reaction to other acts of Islamic terrorism, which erased not only the anti-Semitic subtext but denied those deadly attacks <em>were<\/em> acts of terrorism. Instead, leftists dismissed mass murders as acts of stress-related \u201cworkplace violence\u201d or claimed the gunman\u2019s motives seemed indecipherable, even as he shouted, \u201cAllahu akbar!\u201d Here are a few such incidents:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fort Hood<\/strong> <strong>shooting (November 2009)<\/strong>: On November 5, 2009, an Army Major named Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire at Fort Hood, a military base in Texas, killing 13 people and wounding 32. Barack Obama\u2019s lack of seriousness became immediately apparent during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3hNabRkHbZo\">a press conference<\/a> shortly after the massacre. He spent the first two minutes discussing how \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.presidency.ucsb.edu\/documents\/remarks-the-closing-the-white-house-tribal-nations-conference\">a top priority<\/a>\u201d is the White House Tribal Nations Conference and giving \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/therightswriter.com\/2009\/11\/huge-military-slaughter-%E2%80%94-but-first-a-shout-out-to-obamas-bud\/\">a shout-out<\/a>\u201d to one of the attendees, Dr. Joe Medicine Crow.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>It turned out President Obama was not the only one to show such nonchalance. Although the FBI anti-terrorism task force saw Hasan strike up an email correspondence with al-Qaeda terrorist <a href=\"https:\/\/therightswriter.com\/2011\/10\/why-did-we-kill-anwar-al-awlkai-and-not-jane-fonda\/\">Anwar al-Awlaki<\/a> nearly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/fort-hood-report-shows-fbi-ignored-warning-signs-on-hasan-lawmaker-says\">a year earlier<\/a>, they did not open an investigation. Similarly, military brass spotted Hasan posting online comments calling any <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2009\/11\/06\/muslim-major-screamed-allahu-akbar-before-slaughtering-13-at-ft-hood\/\">suicide bomber<\/a> \u201ca brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause.\u201d Survivors say his final words before shooting were, \u201c<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/suspected-fort-hood-shooter-was-calm-during-massacre-may-have-shouted-god-is-great\">Allahu akbar<\/a><\/em>!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite Hasan\u2019s clear motivation, which he subsequently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/prosecutors-turn-to-motive-in-trial-of-ft-hood-gunman\">admitted<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/fort-hood-gunman-maj-nidal-hasan-sentenced-to-death\">court<\/a>, the Obama administration referred to the shooting as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/lawmakers-blast-administration-for-calling-fort-hood-massacre-workplace-violence\">workplace violence<\/a>.\u201d The Obama-Biden administration had spent years stoking fears about the <a href=\"https:\/\/therightswriter.com\/2010\/10\/pro-life-the-fbi-is-watching-you\/\">alleged threat<\/a> of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/therightswriter.com\/2009\/04\/department-of-hopeless-speculation\">right-wing extremism<\/a>,\u201d and this did not fit the narrative. The administration made the term \u201cterrorism\u201d so charged that the Army\u2019s lead prosecutor referred to it as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/kdhnews.com\/military\/hasan_trial\/hasan-seeks-to-limit-victim-testimony\/article_4e82cf32-eff9-11e2-ae93-0019bb30f31a.html\">the t-word<\/a>.\u201d The New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2014\/04\/09\/us\/at-fort-hood-wrestling-with-label-of-terrorism.html\">noted<\/a> nearly five years later that the Obama administration refused \u201cto call the 2009 shooting terrorism, although it was called an act of terror in a 2011 Senate report and it has&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.start.umd.edu\/gtd\/search\/IncidentSummary.aspx?gtdid=200911060002\">an official ID number<\/a>&nbsp;in the Global Terrorism Database.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The decision heaped more harm on the victims\u2019 families. The Obama administration\u2019s actions did not merely portray a politically correct fantasy; they denied survivors a Purple Heart and the government benefits that go with it. Even after the Republican-controlled Congress passed a bill conferring the award on the people injured in this act of <em>jihad<\/em>, the Obama-Biden Defense Department <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/congress-blog\/the-administration\/239431-army-finally-gives-ft-hood-victims-their-full\">fought against<\/a> giving the wounded the benefits due to survivors of terror \u2014 perhaps the first time a Democratic administration refused to give a civilian a government check. Even Time magazine called the government\u2019s treatment of the incident \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/4294106\/fort-hood-survivors\/\">a national disgrace<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<strong>Random\u2019 shooting at a Paris kosher supermarket (January 2015)<\/strong>: On January 9, 2015, a 32-year-old shooter named Am\u00e9dy Coulibaly&nbsp;entered the Hypercacher kosher supermarket in Paris and killed 4 people during an hours-long siege. During the standoff, he told a journalist he shot his victims, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2020\/sep\/21\/paris-court-kosher-supermarket-attacker-amedy-coulibaly-killed-four-charlie-hebdo\">because they were Jews<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yet a month later, President Obama claimed the shooter had no motive at all. \u201cMy first job is to protect the American people,\u201d Obama <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/a\/barack-obama-interview-vox-conversation\/obama-foreign-policy-transcript\">told<\/a> Matthew Yglesias of Vox.com. \u201cIt is entirely legitimate for the American people to be deeply concerned when you\u2019ve got a bunch of violent, vicious zealots who behead people or randomly shoot a bunch of folks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rather than apologize, the administration doubled down on Obama\u2019s choice of words. White House spokesman Josh Earnest <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/white-house-shooting-kosher-market-paris-random\/story?id=28871389\">said<\/a>, \u201cThe adverb that the president chose was used to indicate that the individuals who were killed in that terrible tragic incident were killed not because of who they were, but because of where they randomly happened to be.\u201d He said the shooter was targeting \u201cany random deli\u201d and pointed out, \u201cThere were people other than just Jews who were in that deli.\u201d After backlash, Earnest <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PressSec44\/status\/565261624211427329\">tweeted<\/a> that the \u201cterror attack at Paris Kosher market was motivated by anti-Semitism. POTUS didn\u2019t intend to suggest otherwise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>San Bernardino Christmas party <em>jihad <\/em>(December 2015):<\/strong> On December 2, 2015, a married couple walked into a Christmas party thrown by their employer, the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, and opened fire. They killed 14 people and injured 22 others; the death toll would have grown higher if the three explosive devices he left at the scene had gone off.<\/p>\n<p>The media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/watch-top-10-dumbest-things-said-about-san-chase-stephens\">attempted<\/a> to pin the shooting on every one of their political opponents. Former FBI Assistant Director Tom Fuentes told CNN that, since the attack occurred at a county government, it sounded like \u201can anti-government militia group wanting to attack the government.\u201d MSNBC raised the possibility that the death had pro-life origins, noting that \u201cthe Planned Parenthoood of San Bernardino is only a few blocks away.\u201d (Of course, terrorists usually attack their intended target, not one in its general vicinity.)<\/p>\n<p>Police eventually identified the perpetrators, Syed Rizwan Farook (a U.S. citizen of Pakistani heritage) and Tashfeen Malik (a native Muslim from Pakistan), both of whom had taken <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/christmas-party-triggered-san-bernardino-terror-attack-police\/story?id=43884973\">an oath<\/a> of allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. They had planned the attack for months, making provisions for everything, including the care of their infant daughter. Still, the media tried to intimate the couple had been triggered, perhaps by being invited to attend a Christmas party.<\/p>\n<p>Even after the terrorists\u2019 identities and motives became known, Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton stubbornly called them \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/hillary-wont-call-san-bernardino-terrorists-michael-qazvini\">shooters<\/a>\u201d rather than \u201cterrorists.\u201d This was apparently part of a coordinated strategy run from the White House. As Daily Wire founder Ben Shapiro <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/obama-reportedly-worried-about-public-relations-ben-shapiro\">wrote<\/a> at the time:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Jack Murphy of SOFREP reported,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2015\/12\/10\/report-obama-told-nsc-to-downplay-terrorist-angle-of-san-bernadino\/\">according to&nbsp;The Daily Caller<\/a>, that the FBI was ready to label the San Bernardino shootings a terrorist attack almost immediately, but didn\u2019t because the White House stepped in to stop them from doing so. According to Murphy\u2019s source, \u201cas soon as the shooting took place, Obama convened a meeting with the National Security Council and the heads of other federal enforcement agencies to discuss a public relations strategy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Public relations for <em>whom<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Attempted Times Square bombing (May 2010)<\/strong>: On May 1, 2010, a few eagle-eyed bystandrers saw smoke rising from a vehicle parked on New York City\u2019s Times Square. It emanated from a car bomb, which police defused before it ignited. The first suspect to come to the mayor\u2019s mind was the Tea Party.<\/p>\n<p>Then-Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the Democrat-turned-Republican-turned-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/story\/nyc-mayor-michael-bloomberg-switches-party-affiliation-from-republican-to-independent\">Independent<\/a>-turned-<a href=\"https:\/\/abc7ny.com\/mayor-michael-bloomberg-former-of-new-york-city-mike-democrat\/4453276\/\">Democrat<\/a> (who was then a registered Independent), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/weekly-standard\/its-already-time-for-a-dumbest-theories-about-times-square-bomber-post\">speculated<\/a> the bomber would turn out to be a \u201chomegrown\u201d terrorist, perhaps a foe of big government. Bloomberg told then-CBS News anchor Katie Couric, \u201cIf I had to guess, 25 cents, this would be\u201d the work of a \u201chomegrown\u201d terrorist, \u201cor maybe a mentally deranged person, or somebody with a political agenda that doesn\u2019t like the health care bill or something.\u201d He helpfully concluded, \u201cIt could be anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In reality, the terrorist was not one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/5-times-the-left-refused-to-take-voters-no-for-an-answer-and-won\">majority of Americans who opposed Obamacare<\/a> but 30-year-old Faisal Shahzad, who had received five months\u2019 of explosives training from the Tehrik-e-Taliban during a five-month visit to his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/faisal-shahzad-indicted-attempted-car-bombing-times-square\">native Pakistan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assault on the U.S. Embassy at Benghazi (September 2012):<\/strong> Terrorists attacked the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, Libya, on the 11<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the 9\/11 attacks. The Obama administration made a full-court press on the Sunday morning shows to claim the attack was not a coordinated terrorist assault to commemorate the most violent act of terrorism in U.S. history; it was a spontaneous reaction to an obscure anti-Islamic YouTube video posted by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.copticchurch.net\/\">Coptic Christian<\/a>. The State Department seemed to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/remember-youtube-filmmaker-hillary-blamed-benghazi-joshua-yasmeh\">spend more time<\/a> condemning the critics of Islam than the killers of American citizens:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet. The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation.
