Nicole Malliotakis. Rose campaigned for reelection in 2020 in part by explicitly railing against de Blasio\u2019s tenure as mayor. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/30\/new-york-redistricting-congressional-map\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: New York Democrats Unveil New Congressional Map That Is \u2018Brutal\u2019 For Republicans)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBill de Blasio is the worst mayor in the history of New York City,\u201d Rose said during one six-second <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/09\/09\/max-rose-drops-anti-de-blasio-ad-makes-his-point-in-just-6-seconds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">commercial<\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s the whole ad.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7071482\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7071482\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rep. President Joe Biden would have won the new 11th district by nine points, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Redistrict\/status\/1487914501668483073\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to Dave Wasserman, a senior editor at the nonpartisan Cook Political Report, a 20-point swing leftward compared to the current district.<\/p>\n<p>If de Blasio overcame his unpopularity in Staten Island to win the Democratic primary, it would not be the first time he faced Malliotakis in an election; she <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2017\/11\/07\/report-de-blasio-wins-another-4-years-as-nyc-mayor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">unsuccessfully challenged him<\/a> in the city\u2019s mayoral race in 2017. Malliotakis, however, welcomed the prospect of facing him again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">Malliotakis-de Blasio rematch?? Democrat leadership, in their desperate attempt to cancel me and silence our voice in Congress, are redrawing our district to connect <\/span><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">#StatenIsland<\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\"> to Park Slope, creating an opportunity for the disastrous mayor to run against me this November!<\/span>\u201d Malliotakis <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NMalliotakis\/status\/1488634446391787528\">tweeted<\/a> late Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>De Blasio\u2019s rumored run is the second of the sort in recent weeks. He <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/02\/bill-de-blasio-board-of-elections-paperwork-governor-new-york\/\">floated<\/a> a primary challenge to Democratic New York Gov.
