His allegations are false, malicious and defamatory.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe understand there are media reports stating the NFL intends to investigate his claims, and we will cooperate fully,\u201d Ross continued. \u201cI welcome the investigation and I am eager to defend my personal integrity, and the integrity of the entire Miami Dolphins organization, from these baseless, unfair and disparaging claims.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The accusation by Flores comes as part of a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wigdorlaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Complaint-against-National-Football-League-et-al-Filed.pdf\"><span>class-action suit<\/span><\/a> <span>filed by Flores in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday. Flores is suing the NFL and several teams, naming the Denver Broncos, the New York Giants, and the Dolphins, for racial discrimination in the NFL\u2019s hiring process.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He makes the claim that Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross pressured Flores to \u201ctank\u201d during the 2019 season, to the point that Ross offered Flores $100,000 for each loss during the season. He also claims that \u201cMr. Ross began to pressure Mr. Flores to recruit a prominent quarterback in violation of League tampering rules\u201d at the end of the 2019 season.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Flores was fired as head coach of the Dolphins in January, following two winning seasons as head coach in Miami. It was the first back-to-back winning seasons for the organization since the 2003 season, but the Dolphins failed to reach the playoffs in the three years with Flores at the helm.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Flores claims that as a result of refusing to recruit the quarterback, he was \u201ctreated with disdain and held out as someone who was noncompliant and difficult to work with.\u201d The suit alleges that the Dolphins labeled Flores as \u201cdifficult to work with\u201d through the media.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThis is reflective of an all too familiar \u2018angry black man\u2019 stigma that is often casted upon Black men who are strong in their morals and convictions while white men are coined as passionate for those very same attributes,\u201d the suit <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/former-miami-dolphins-head-coach-brian-flores-sues-nfl-alleging-racial-discrimination-in-hiring-process\"><span>states<\/span><\/a><span>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On Wednesday, Flores joined ESPN\u2019s morning show \u201cGet Up,\u201d and discussed his allegations against Ross.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThat was a conversation about not doing as much as we needed to do in order to win football games,\u201d Flores <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/33200663\/brian-flores-trust-was-lost-miami-dolphins-100k-per-loss-tanking-offer-owner-stephen-ross\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span> Wednesday. \u201cTake a flight, go on vacation, I\u2019ll give you $100,000 per loss \u2014 those were his exact words. I deal in truth, I tell the players this, as well. I\u2019m gonna give you good news, bad news \u2014 but it\u2019s going to be honest.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cTo disrespect the game like that, trust was lost, and there were certainly some strained relationships, and ultimately, I think that was my demise in Miami,\u201d he continued.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Dolphins organization denied the allegations on Tuesday.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe vehemently deny any allegations of racial discrimination and are proud of the diversity and inclusion throughout our organization,\u201d the Dolphins <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/brian-flores-nfl-lawsuit-racism-coaches-miami-dolphins-5cb23b8c357e0dd885b6ce791ac29bf4\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span> in a statement. \u201cThe implication that we acted in a manner inconsistent with the integrity of the game is incorrect.
