Officials say Scott\u2019s body was found by someone who was looking for valuables in the truck.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Sheriff&nbsp;Bobby Webre with the APSO said that the body did not show signs of trauma, though somebody moved it there.<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cInvestigators said it appeared she died of an overdose and that her body was likely dumped there \u2018out of fear,&#8217;\u201d WBRZ reports.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The APSO said toxicology results show Scott had fentanyl in her system, but it is unclear if it was a lethal amount of the drug, per WBRZ.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">NEW: Woman found dead in plastic container had fentanyl in her system, Ascension sheriff says<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VFVIiayf8X\">https:\/\/t.co\/VFVIiayf8X<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 WBRZ News (@WBRZ) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WBRZ\/status\/1489006825995448326?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 2, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span> \u201cWhoever she was with, whether that person gave her drugs or did something sinister, that person moved the body there. And&nbsp;that\u2019s what we need to get down, find the facts as to how it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AscensionSheriff\/posts\/309778631181881\">happened<\/a>, why it happened and when it happened,\u201d Webre said.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Webre noted that four people who either lived at or frequented the residence were present at the address when the body was discovered. \u201cW<\/span><span>e did interview them \u2013 all four \u2013 and that\u2019s where we got most of our preliminary information,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/?v=660340505379633\">explained<\/a> in a Facebook update.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The sheriff\u2019s office named the three people of interest as&nbsp;<\/span><span>Sedrick Credit, Ladarrius Alverez, and Ashley Nicole Simoneaux, WAFB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wafb.com\/2022\/02\/01\/remains-woman-found-plastic-storage-container-gonzales\/\">reports<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Credit and Simoneaux were the last individuals seen with Scott, and Alvarez is her supposed ex-boyfriend, according to WBRZ. As of Wednesday, APSO was still looking for Credit and Simoneaux.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>It is unclear if any of the persons of interest were among the four who were interviewed at the residence.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe detectives are not leaving any stone unturned \u2026 It\u2019s just a matter of finding video evidence, forensic evidence, more people of interest in this case,\u201d Webre said.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The sheriff\u2019s office asks anyone with information regarding Scott\u2019s death to submit a tip by calling the APSO <\/span><span>at 225-621-4636, by texting 847411 to the office\u2019s anonymous tip line, or by calling Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Authorities in Louisiana say they have identified three persons of interest after locating a woman\u2019s body that was stuffed in a plastic storage container in a pickup truck.
