Quebec imposed numerous lockdowns and other public health mandates throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Quebec does not allow unvaccinated people in large retail stores, restaurants, or other public events.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Over the weekend, The convoy reached the country\u2019s capital city, Ottawa. They are reportedly traveling to Quebec next.<\/p>\n<p>A Facebook&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1107405273361692\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">event<\/a>&nbsp;for the Quebec Freedom Convoy read:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Montreal\/Quebec City convoy in support of the Truckers heading to the Quebec City Parliament. The city of Ottawa is preparing to dismantle the demonstration. Many truckers have not been able to get in and many en route will not be able to get in either so they are heading to Quebec City.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Quebec law enforcement authorities have contacted the Freedom Convoy organizers and&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/montreal.ctvnews.ca\/quebec-city-police-prepare-for-freedom-convoy-say-they-re-in-contact-with-organizers-1.5764929\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>, \u201cWe will respect the right to protest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unlike Premier Legault, Trudeau&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/31\/justin-trudeau-on-dodging-tinfoil-hat-truckers-i-talk-to-protesters-i-agree-with-like-blm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">refused<\/a>&nbsp;to meet with the protesters. Instead, he and his family fled their Ottawa home due to \u201csecurity concerns.\u201d Trudeau has consistently criticized the Freedom Convoy,&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/westernstandardonline.com\/2021\/12\/trudeau-calls-the-unvaccinated-racist-and-misogynistic-extremists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">characterizing<\/a>&nbsp;them as a group of \u201chateful\u201d citizens who are \u201cvery often misogynistic and racist.\u201d The Canadian Prime Minister also said the convoy is a \u201csmall fringe minority of people\u201d that holds \u201cunacceptable views.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite Trudeau\u2019s attempt to diminish the freedom convoy\u2019s size, it is clear that thousands of people support them. A GoFundMe page for the Freedom Convoy&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2022\/02\/02\/take-that-truckers-gofundme-freezes-10-million-canadian-freedom-convoy-fundraiser\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">raised<\/a>&nbsp;over $10 million before ultimately being frozen by the platform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose who are in their comfort zone, they think everything is going well, because they have the QR code \u2026 We\u2019re your brothers, your sisters, your work mates, your friends, we need your help,\u201d&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/montreal.ctvnews.ca\/quebec-city-police-prepare-for-freedom-convoy-say-they-re-in-contact-with-organizers-1.5764929\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;Bernard Gauthier, an organizer of the Quebec protest. \u201cWe\u2019re one of you. We\u2019re Quebecers, we\u2019re on the ground, we\u2019re Canadians.
