Jahana Hayes (CT), has reportedly paid her family members tens of thousands of dollars since she entered Congress.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, when Hayes was elected to Congress, the <em>Hartford Courant<\/em>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newspapers.com\/image\/513601219\/\">reported<\/a> that her 24-year-old son,&nbsp;David Crenshaw, joined then-Rep.-elect Hayes on her campaign victory tour.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/01\/fec-records-jahana-hayes-campaign-funds-family-david-crenshaw-asia-clermont\/\">report<\/a> by the Daily Caller indicated that someone with the name David Crenshaw had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/disbursements\/?data_type=processed&amp;committee_id=C00677898&amp;recipient_name=david+crenshaw\">received<\/a>&nbsp;payments in increments of $282.47 and $282.46 under the category \u201cpayroll\u201d since Hayes was elected to Congress. The most recent payments were in the fourth fundraising quarter of 2021. The amount her son has made from the campaign so far has totaled $15,118.54.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Additionally, in 2018, the congresswoman\u2019s 28-year-old daughter, Asia Clermont, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newstimes.com\/news\/article\/Hayes-seeks-to-go-from-classroom-to-Congress-in-12961523.php\">told<\/a> the&nbsp;<em>News-Times,<\/em>&nbsp;\u201cI told my class that my mom was the National Teacher of the Year and that my family had met President Obama.\u201d She added, \u201cAnd I thought that would be the highlight of her life and her career.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The same&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/01\/fec-records-jahana-hayes-campaign-funds-family-david-crenshaw-asia-clermont\/\">report<\/a>&nbsp;revealed that someone named Asia Clermont had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/disbursements\/?data_type=processed&amp;committee_id=C00677898&amp;recipient_name=Asia+Clermont\">received<\/a>&nbsp;payments in increments of $361.33, $359.25, and&nbsp;$360.92&nbsp;under the category \u201cpayroll\u201d since Hayes was elected to Congress. The most recent payment was in the fourth fundraising quarter of 2021, where she received a total of $2,551.41. The amount her daughter has made so far from the campaign has totaled $21,299.03.<\/p>\n<p>Hayes\u2019 office told the Daily Caller that both David Crenshaw and&nbsp;Asia Clermont work for her reelection campaign.&nbsp;Hayes was first elected in 2018 and reelected in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>After seeing the records from the&nbsp;Federal Election Commission, a&nbsp;Republican strategist told the Daily Caller, \u201cAt best, Jahana Hayes\u2019 children have made tens of thousands of dollars off their mother\u2019s congressional career.
