Terri Sewell has reportedly initiated a policy that requires a person to be fully vaccinated to request an in-person meeting with the congresswoman or her staff.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProof of COVID-19 vaccinations are required for every in-person or in-office meeting with the Congresswoman or with staff,\u201d reads an email Disclaimer from Sewell\u2019s office first reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/spectatorworld.com\/topic\/democrat-terri-sewell-office-vaccine-mandate-alabama\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Spectator<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Disclaimer was included with an email sent by Sewell\u2019s office that offered free snacks in her Washington, D.C., office.<\/p>\n<p>The Spectator confirmed with the congresswoman\u2019s office \u201cthat Rep. Sewell\u2019s office has a vaccine mandate for official visits and in-person meetings. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), only 49.5% of Alabama\u2019s residents are <a href=\"https:\/\/covid.cdc.gov\/covid-data-tracker\/#county-view?list_select_state=Alabama&amp;data-type=Risk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fully vaccinated<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sewell shared in a May 2021 post: \u201cI understand why so many have concerns about the vaccine given the legacy of distrust created by the federal govt. But I know this for a fact: The vaccine has been rigorously tested.
