When can a possible compulsory vaccination actually be implemented technically? Questions that definitely need to be clarified in advance,\u201d Egger continued.<\/p>\n<p>Egger was not the first politician to turn against the measure, with fellow left-leaning party member&nbsp;Hans Peter Doskozil \u2014 who serves as the Governor of Burgenland \u2014 having previously<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/01\/09\/authoritarian-austria-40000-protest-restrictions-in-vienna-as-corona-apartheid-continues\/\"> turned against<\/a> the measures also.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat if the Constitutional Court said in one year that it was unconstitutional? That would be a disaster,\u201d the governor previously said. \u201cI would rather have an indirect vaccination requirement, in which PCR tests for unvaccinated people are subject to a fee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More recently, some members of the Austrian Greens have also voiced concerns regarding mandatory vaccination, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oe24.at\/coronavirus\/gruene-mit-offenem-brief-gegen-die-impfpflicht\/509059798\">penning<\/a> an open letter to the country\u2019s Federal Council voicing their issues with the measure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026the starting point for health decisions and encroachments on the fundamental rights of citizens is extremely questionable,\u201d the letter \u2014 signed \u201cGreens against compulsory vaccination and 2G\u201d \u2014 reads. \u201cIt cannot be in the interest of the members of the National Council, nor in your interest as a member of the Federal Council, to risk damage to the health of individuals and society.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is your responsibility to investigate the above questions with the utmost care and diligence,\u201d the letter continues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Austria\u2019s mandatory vax regime, which would have been the first of its kind in Europe has been delayed due to administrative issues.
