Diesel laid on top of Riedel and licked his face, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksnt.com\/news\/top-stories\/good-boy-topeka-dog-saves-a-life\/\">helping<\/a> him stay conscious, according to KSNT.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p><span> \u201cWith his help keeping me awake and keeping me warm, I called my buddy, he came over and picked me up,\u201d Bob Riedel told the outlet.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>When help reached the home, Diesel was protective of Bob, understanding he was injured.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>His son, Jason, said that his father was nearly hypothermic when he arrived at a hospital. If Diesel had not sprung into action, \u201cthey\u2019re&nbsp;not sure what would have happened,\u201d KSNT reports.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>&nbsp;\u201cI was just real thankful that he was there to keep my dad warm,\u201d Jason told KSNT. \u201cI think it was like 10 degrees that night. I\u2019m pretty sure after sitting out there for a couple hours, he wouldn\u2019t probably be here right now.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bob could not praise the protective pooch enough.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHe\u2019s just my dear friend, I think the world of him,\u201d he told KSNT. \u201cHe\u2019s always there for me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The father and son said Diesel would be rewarded with plenty of treats and episodes of <em>Lassie<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, a dog in New Hampshire led authorities to the scene of a rollover car crash involving his owner, Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/local\/2022\/01\/05\/dog-leads-police-to-owner-injured-in-major-roll-over-car-crash\/\">reported<\/a>.
