Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined. Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as a host on EXTRA. But most importantly, as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor and colleague \u2014 we know her impact will live on.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kryst was an attorney and correspondent for the entertainment news program \u201cExtra.\u201d The news program said that she was a \u201cvital part\u201d of their show and was \u201ca beloved part of our Extra family and touched the entire staff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur deepest condolences to all her family and friends,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Daily News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/new-york\/nyc-crime\/ny-former-miss-usa-cheslie-kryst-suicide-20220130-towaj7hx4netlhq5ijhs5fihpy-story.html\">reported<\/a> that Kryst jumped from the 29th floor of the building and reportedly left a suicide note.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly before she jumped, Kryst <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CZWn2kuOVy_\/\">wrote<\/a> on Instagram: \u201cMay this day bring you rest and peace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a free hotline for individuals in crisis or distress or for those looking to help someone else.
