No such bill has passed the chamber.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A Facebook image allegedly shows text from a <a href=\"https:\/\/beckernews.com\/wisconsin-assembly-sends-election-shockwaves-by-voting-to-withdraw-10-biden-electors-43875\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BeckerNews.com<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/beckernews.com\/wisconsin-assembly-sends-election-shockwaves-by-voting-to-withdraw-10-biden-electors-43875\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> that claims the Wisconsin Assembly voted to \u201cwithdraw\u201d its 10 electors for President Joe Biden. \u201cWisconsin Assembly Sends Election Shockwaves by Voting to Withdraw 10 Biden Electors,\u201d reads text included in the image.<\/p>\n<p>The Wisconsin Assembly did not make such a move. One state representative, Republican Timothy Ramthun, introduced a privileged <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2021\/related\/proposals\/ajr120\">resolution<\/a> to withdraw the electors, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.fo\/seYi0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Milwaukee Journal Sentinel<\/a>. The resolution was referred to the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2021\/committees\/assembly\/2381\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Assembly Committee on Rules<\/a> but was not passed by the legislative body.<\/p>\n<p>Assembly Majority Leader <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2021\/legislators\/assembly\/2197\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jim Steineke<\/a>, a Republican who also heads the Assembly Committee on Rules, said on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jimsteineke\/status\/1486109897838182401\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a> the resolution was \u201cillegal\u201d and \u201cplain unconstitutional.\u201d He added that there was \u201czero chance\u201d the bill would be voted on. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/11\/04\/fact-check-wisconsin-more-votes-cast-registered-voters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Viral Image Falsely Claims Wisconsin Had More Votes Cast Than Registered Voters)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Disinformation spreads quickly. Ramthun\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2021\/proposals\/reg\/asm\/joint_resolution\/ajr120\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">resolution<\/a> does not have any co-sponsors nor does it show as passed by the legislature.<\/p>\n<p>The inaccurate claim was spread by BeckerNews.com as well as The Gateway Pundit, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/01\/27\/politics\/fact-check-gateway-pundit-wisconsin-electors-2020-biden\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN<\/a>. The Gateway Pundit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2022\/01\/huge-breaking-news-wisconsin-assembly-votes-withdraw-10-electors-joe-biden-2020-election-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">revised<\/a> its story to say the resolution was advanced to the Assembly Committee on Rules and not passed outright by the Wisconsin legislature. <a href=\"https:\/\/beckernews.com\/wisconsin-assembly-sends-election-shockwaves-by-voting-to-withdraw-10-biden-electors-43875\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BeckerNews.com<\/a> has not made any such corrections but does note at the bottom of the piece that \u201cThis article contains commentary which reflects the author\u2019s opinion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden won Wisconsin by over 20,000 votes, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/elections.wi.gov\/sites\/elections\/files\/County%20by%20County%20Report%20-%20President%20of%20the%20United%20States%20post%20recount.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wisconsin Elections Commission<\/a>. Audits of the 2020 elections by the nonpartisan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpr.org\/nonpartisan-review-wisconsins-2020-election-finds-no-widespread-fraud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Legislative Audit Bureau<\/a> and conservative legal group <a href=\"https:\/\/will-law.org\/will-issues-review-of-2020-election-recommendations-for-reform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wisconsin Institute for Law &amp; Liberty<\/a> found no evidence of widespread voter fraud.
