Staff told police that he\u2019s cost them $6,000 in stolen property since October.&nbsp;But the trespass order didn\u2019t keep Lomack from returning.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"fb-video\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/JasonRantzShow\/videos\/617564806020656\/\" data-width=\"640\">\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/JasonRantzShow\/videos\/617564806020656\/\" class=\"fb-xfbml-parse-ignore\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/JasonRantzShow\/videos\/617564806020656\/\">Homeless man tries to shoplift 70&#8243; TV?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A homeless man is charged with burglary for trying to steal a massive flat-screen television from the downtown Seattle Target. Staff says it was the 22nd time he stole from the store in the past 3 months. The entire alleged incident was caught on surveillance footage obtained by the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH.<\/p>\n<p>Posted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/JasonRantzShow\">The Jason Rantz Show on AM 770 KTTH<\/a> on Wednesday, January 26, 2022<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>Court documents noted that Target security guards recognized the \u201cprolific shoplifter\u201d from previous incidents.<\/p>\n<p>While employees called law enforcement, Lomack apparently spotted three 70-inch televisions tied up with plastic straps.<\/p>\n<p>The man appeared to use a tool to sever the straps, and eventually laid it on a cart, and got into an elevator. When he came out, security was there but he eventually exited the store and dragged the item away.<\/p>\n<p>An officer alerted by Target security saw him, but when the officer spoke to the suspect and told him to hand over the property,&nbsp;he refused to comply and police said \u201che was unable to produce a receipt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lomack was informed he was under arrest, but again did not comply. Following a struggle, he was placed in handcuffs.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>He was arrested for burglary in October after being held regarding shoplifting at the same store, the KTTH article said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Since 1985, Lomack has been convicted of at least 18 felonies and misdemeanors, including second-degree burglary, second-degree possession of stolen property, and fourth-degree assault. This represents only a fraction of the cases that came through to the prosecutor\u2019s office, according to a spokesperson.&nbsp;Judge Kuljinder Dhillon was unmoved by the argument. He released Lomack on his own personal recognizance.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Lomack returned to court Wednesday to appear before Judge <a href=\"https:\/\/kingcounty.gov\/courts\/superior-court\/directory\/judges\/young.aspx\">Melinda Young<\/a> and again the man was released.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike Judge Dhillon, Young also has a record of going easy on homeless suspects,\u201d the KTTH report said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a long-time Seattle business owner recently said his store had been affected by crime seven times over the previous three months, King 5 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.king5.com\/article\/news\/crime\/seattle-business-owner-frustrated-by-crime\/281-28984f7b-f7f2-400f-97c8-3b5daae07530\">reported<\/a> January 19.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>\u201cThis city is unrecognizable to what it was even five years ago, between the homeless and the lack of police, the whole defund the police, decriminalize, it doesn\u2019t work,\u201d Jay Ashberg explained.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2020, the Seattle City Council <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/11\/24\/seattle-cops-leave-in-droves-amid-city-vote-to-defund-police\/\">voted<\/a> to reduce the city\u2019s police department budget while officers left in droves, Breitbart News reported at the time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A homeless man was released after being charged with burglary for attempting to walk away with a flat-screen television he saw in a downtown Seattle Target store.
