Walker made clear that he is not \u201cworried\u201d about Trump\u2019s potential role in the 2022 midterm elections in Georgia, even after the state saw a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajc.com\/politics\/turnout-dip-among-georgia-republicans-flipped-us-senate\/IKWGEGFEEVEZ5DXTP7ZXXOROIA\/\"><span>lower turnout<\/span><\/a><span> among Republicans in the 2021 runoff election, which paved the way for Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to flip the Senate away from the GOP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Walker revealed that he does not plan to endorse either current Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp or former Sen. David Perdue in their gubernatorial bids against Democrat Stacey Abrams, saying that he has \u201cto worry about [his] race.\u201d He encouraged Georgians to \u201cvote for the winner\u201d of the primary come November.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7359565\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7359565\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PERRY, GA \u2013 SEPTEMBER 25: Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker speaks at a rally featuring former US President Donald Trump on September 25, 2021 in Perry, Georgia. (Photo by Sean Rayford\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>With Georgia Democrats in 2022 likely to portray their Republican opponents as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.democracydocket.com\/news\/how-the-gop-will-try-to-subvert-our-elections\/\"><span>underminers of democracy<\/span><\/a><span> by calling the GOP-backed Georgia Election Integrity Act \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brennancenter.org\/our-work\/analysis-opinion\/georgias-voter-suppression-law\"><span>voter suppression<\/span><\/a><span>\u201d and pointing to past Trump-related claims of election fraud, Walker\u2019s past statements on the validity of the 2020 election will almost certainly make its way into attacks ads should he become the Republican candidate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>After President Joe Biden received a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/joe-biden-popular-vote-record-barack-obama-us-presidential-election-donald-trump\/\"><span>record<\/span><\/a><span> 81.2 million votes in 2020, Walker said he \u201ccan guarantee you Joe Biden didn\u2019t get 50 million people to vote for him\u201d and also urged a revote in the swing states to \u201cmaintain our democracy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In the interview with the Caller, Walker said with regard to the 2020 election that \u201cthere\u2019s a problem somewhere. Where\u2019s that problem at? I don\u2019t know.\u201d Walker also pointed to Abrams, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/stacey-abrams-voting-rights-pac-helped-group-that-pushed-voter-fraud-conspiracy-theories?fbclid=IwAR14pQetxo1UKbQhfNu6iDecJyh8JgR-y51WuSfWCVHt-8iSEZmhpzdzgcY\">cast doubts<\/a> on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/elections\/stacey-abrams-refuses-call-brian-kemp-s-victory-legitimate-says-n937721\">legitimacy<\/a><span> of her 2018 election loss to Kemp, and advocated that whoever is concerned about the results of an election should \u201cbe able to check it out\u201d because \u201cthe most precious thing you can ever have is the right to vote.\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/20\/ted-cruz-stacey-abrams-georgia-2018-gubernatorial-election-stolen-concede\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>(RELATED: Ted Cruz Grills Stacey Abrams On Whether She Still Thinks The 2018 Georgia Election Was Stolen)<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If elected to the U.S. Senate, the football legend said he wants to tackle fiscal irresponsibility first and foremost, emphasizing not to just look at past deficit spending under Republican presidents, but also to \u201clook at what\u2019s happening on the Democratic side.\u201d He said that the current Congress is \u201cspending money we don\u2019t have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Walker said he couldn\u2019t \u201canswer the question\u201d of whether he would have <span>voted alongside the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/10\/19-senate-republicans-voted-for-infrastructure-legislation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">19 Senate Republicans<\/a> for the infrastructure package in August until he saw \u201call the facts.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>On foreign policy, Walker, who once earned a 7th place finish for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/herschel-walker-heisman-trophy-winner-joined-olympics-bobsled-team\/\"><span>bobsledding<\/span><\/a><span> in the 1992 Winter Olympics, expressed that \u201cwe know what China has done and what they continue to do, even with this virus, and yet, we reward them with the Olympics.\u201d Walker said he does not want to punish the athletes but encouraged Americans to pressure companies who sponsor the Games amid Chinese government human rights abuses. <\/span><span>With a Russian invasion of Ukraine possibly <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/us-warns-russian-attack-imminent-ukraine-disagrees\/story?id=82463780\"><span>imminent<\/span><\/a><span>, Walker emphasized that \u201cwe can\u2019t allow people to be bullies around this country, because when are they going to start bullying the United States of America?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou see what happened in Afghanistan, we are really losing a lot of faith\u201d from our global allies, he said. \u201cYou let Russia take over Ukraine; what\u2019s going to happen next? Maybe we\u2019re going to be next, and we don\u2019t want that to happen,\u201d added Walker.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the interview, Walker tried to keep a straight face while reacting to his son <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChristianWalk1r?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor\"><span>Christian\u2019s<\/span><\/a><span> viral TikTok, where he said \u201cthe Democrats don\u2019t like me\u2026because I\u2019m rich!\u201d in response to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/femail\/article-10307997\/Son-retired-NFL-viral-complaining-high-gas-prices-wearing-1-295-Givenchy-hoodie.html\"><span>critics<\/span><\/a><span> calling out Christian for wearing a luxury Givenchy hoodie in a video complaining about gas prices.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Christian Walker: \u201cThe democrats don\u2019t like me because.. One thing people don\u2019t know is that this little guy can speak three languages,\u201d added Walker, a proud father.<\/p>\n<p>To conclude the interview, Walker slammed vaccine mandates as \u201cgovernment overreach\u201d and said he believes the decision to vaccinate should \u201cbe between you and your doctor.\u201d Walker then offered his advice to Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has faced criticism for not disclosing his unvaccinated status to the media and for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ClayTravis\/status\/1484637451448635398\/photo\/1\"><span>recently<\/span><\/a><span> calling out government vaccine mandates and internet censorship of doctors with dissenting views on COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether he got the vaccine or not had nothing to do with his loss to the 49ers; the 49ers just outplayed him\u201d in the NFL Divisional Round Playoffs. Walker joked. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/21\/packers-aaron-rodgers-biden-pandemic-unvaccinated\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>(RELATED: Packers\u2019 Aaron Rodgers Calls Out Biden For Saying \u2018It\u2019s A Pandemic Of The Unvaccinated\u2019)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne thing people are forgetting about in the United States of America, you have the right to protest, you have the right to do that, whereas in other countries you can not do that,\u201d Walker said. \u201cI think the thing to do is for him to continue to have his freedom to say that he disagrees with government mandates, because there\u2019s other people who disagree and there\u2019s some that agree with it, but <span>in the United States of America there is a right to do that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Walker, who has received endorsements from Senate Minority Leader <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/10\/27\/herschel-walker-mitch-mcconnells-endorsement-517309\"><span>Mitch McConnell<\/span><\/a><span> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/578254-thune-endorses-herschel-walker-in-georgia-senate-race\"><span>other<\/span><\/a><span> Republican senators, holds a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/11\/01\/herschel-walker-georgia-senate-republican-primary-poll-518140\"><span>massive<\/span><\/a><span> lead in the Georgia GOP Senate Primary, which is set to take place May 24.
