A representative for&nbsp;<span class=\"il\">Jordan<\/span> denied the former basketball star made the statement.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Fact Check:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jordan is celebrated as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/history-nba-legend-michael-jordan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Basketball Association<\/a> (NBA). He is also the current majority owner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/hornets\/executive-staff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Charlotte Hornets<\/a> NBA franchise, according to the organization.<\/p>\n<p>An image being shared on social media attributes a quote to him in which he rebukes comparisons between James and New Orleans Pelicans player <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/player\/1629627\/zion-williamson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zion Williamson<\/a>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/08\/31\/fact-check-larry-bird-players-shut-up-play-damn-game\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Larry Bird Tell NBA Players To \u2018Shut Up And Play The Damn Game\u2019?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn my opinion, there will NEVER be another LeBron James, he\u2019s one of a kind,\u201d the image quotes Jordan as saying, in part. \u201cThe combination of being 6\u20198\u2033 250+ pounds, running faster than a deer, having athleticism off the charts, the highest basketball IQ, being the best leader ever, crazy court vision, one of the best passers of all time, a rebounder, an elite defender AND possess the ability to score 30 or more in his sleep are attributes that won\u2019t be duplicated in a player ever again. LeBron James is the GOAT in my eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The term \u201cGOAT\u201d is an acronym for the \u201cgreatest of all time,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.merriam-webster.com\/dictionary\/goat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Merriam-Webster<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Charlotte Hornets organization has not included or attributed such a comment to Jordan in any of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/hornets\/press-release-archive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">press releases<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=Lebron%20James%20(from%3Ahornets%20OR%20from%3AHornetsPR)&amp;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social media<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/page\/53844953429\/search\/?q=Lebron%20James\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posts<\/a>.
