Should he or she begin to experience symptoms, \u201cthey should be clinically evaluated for COVID-19, including SARS-CoV-2 testing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The CDC notes that these criteria can be used for fully vaccinated healthcare personnel with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/hcp\/guidance-risk-assesment-hcp.html\">higher-risk exposures<\/a>, in order to reduce staffing shortages and that healthcare personnel would not have to quarantine outside of work.<\/p>\n<p>The Center acknowledges that while the possibility of transmission from vaccinated persons to others is still unknown, \u201cvaccination has been demonstrated to prevent symptomatic COVID-19\u201d and \u201csymptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission\u201d is believed to have a \u201cgreater role in transmission\u201d as opposed to transmission from someone who is asymptomatic.<\/p>\n<p>People who have been vaccinated will still be required to follow social-distancing guidance put in place by the CDC, \u201cincluding wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet away from others, avoiding crowds, avoiding poorly ventilated spaces, covering coughs and sneezes, washing hands often, following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/travelers\/index.html\">CDC travel guidance<\/a>, and following any applicable workplace or school guidance, including guidance related to personal protective equipment use or SARS-CoV-2 testing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Quarantine is still required for \u201cvaccinated inpatients and residents in healthcare settings\u201d after an exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19. The reason for this is due to the \u201cunknown vaccine effectiveness in this population, the higher risk of severe disease and death, and challenges with social distancing in healthcare settings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That being said, the CDC states that healthcare facilities could consider waiving quarantine requirements for vaccinated patients and residents in order to reduce issues that might arise from the requirements, such as \u201clack of space, staff, or PPE to safely care for exposed patients or residents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This announcement follows the Biden administration\u2019s talk of social-distancing continuation last week, as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/jen-psaki-social-distancing-masking-still-essential-after-vaccination\">The Daily Wire.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At a Thursday press conference, Secretary Jen Psaki explained,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201c\u2026it\u2019s not just a vaccine\u2026It\u2019s obviously an incredible medical breakthrough and we want every American to have one, but even after you\u2019re vaccinated, social distancing [and] wearing masks is going to be essential and we\u2019ll need to continue communicating about that through health and medical experts.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>To find out more about how quarantine requirements apply to you, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/vaccines\/covid-19\/info-by-product\/clinical-considerations.html\">CDC website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em><span>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
