Burstyn claims Tampa Bay defamed his client when they said Brown had a \u201cmental health episode\u201d during the Bucs week 17 win over the New York Jets.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAntonio was defamed by this spin that he had a mental health episode that makes him someone who\u2019s not reliable to do a good job on the field,\u201d Burstyn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/33148271\/antonio-brown-says-pursue-lawsuit-tampa-bay-buccaneers-release\">said<\/a>. \u201cSo we\u2019re pursuing internally all of our rights under the CBA and considering them and maybe stepping outside of the CBA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of our options are on the table. We\u2019re going to hold to account the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Bruce Arians, the general manager to the extent anyone who\u2019s responsible for this spin that Antonio isn\u2019t reliable to do a good job playing football because he doesn\u2019t have the mental fortitude to do it. They\u2019ll be held to account,\u201d Burstyn continued.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Toward the end of the third quarter against the Jets, Brown abruptly exited MetLife Stadium after taking off his shoulder pads and shirt on the sidelines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When asked after the game what happened to cause Brown to leave the field, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians wouldn\u2019t say. Instead, Arians informed reporters that Brown was \u201cno longer a Buc,\u201d leaving fans of the game to wonder what transpired to set Brown off to the point where he would quit his team mid-game.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A few days later, Brown, who was listed as \u201cquestionable\u201d on Tampa Bay\u2019s injury report due to an ankle injury leading up to the game against the Jets, claims that he was cut mid-game after informing coaches that he was not healthy enough to play.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of my commitment to the game, I relented to pressure directly from my coach to play injured. Despite the pain, I suited up, the staff injected me with what I know was a powerful and sometimes dangerous painkiller that the NFLPA has warned against using, and I gave it all for my team,\u201d Brown <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/antonio-brown-says-buccaneers-pressured-him-to-play-injured-cut-him-mid-game\">said<\/a> in a statement through his attorney. \u201cI played until it was clear that I could not use my ankle to safely perform my playing responsibilities.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After playing for nearly three quarters, Brown said the pain became \u201cextreme,\u201d forcing him to take a seat on the sidelines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI took a seat on the sideline and my coach came up to me, very upset, and shouted, \u2018What\u2019s wrong with you? What\u2019s wrong with you?\u2019 I told him, \u2018It\u2019s my ankle,\u2019\u201d Brown said in the statement. \u201cBut he knew that. It was well documented and we had discussed it. He then ordered me to get on the field. I said, \u2018Coach, I can\u2019t.\u2019 He didn\u2019t call for medical attention. Instead, he shouted at me, \u2018YOU\u2019RE DONE!\u2019 while he ran his finger across his throat. Coach was telling me that if I didn\u2019t play hurt, then I was done with the Bucs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arians denied being aware of Brown\u2019s injury.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know that he was (injured),\u201d Arians <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/report-antonio-brown-did-not-believe-he-was-healthy-enough-to-enter-the-game-before-leaving-field-mid-game\">said<\/a>. \u201cIt was pretty obvious what happened. He left the field and that was it.
