Durham suggested in a court filing on Tuesday that Democrat lawyer Marc Elias, who arranged the fraudulent Russia \u201cdossier\u201d in 2016 and pushed for voting changes in 2020, has testified before a grand jury investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The filing was an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/554985416\/US-v-Sussmann\">update<\/a> to the discovery process in Durham\u2019s prosecution of Democrat lawyer Michael Sussmann, who has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/09\/16\/john-durham-will-seek-indictment-of-democratic-lawyer-for-allegedly-lying-to-the-f-b-i-during-russian-collusion-investigation\/\">charged<\/a> with lying to the FBI in connection with the false claim that then-candidate Donald Trump was linked to Russia via&nbsp;Alfa Bank.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Sussmann has pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Durham updated the court on the current state of the production of materials to the defense team, including grand jury testimony from \u201cCampaign Lawyer-1,\u201d who is widely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/crime-and-justice\/commentary\/the-anatomy-the-clinton-campaigns-alfa-bank-smear\">reported<\/a> to be Marc Elias.<\/p>\n<p>Elias, who worked with Sussmann at the Democrat-aligned law firm Perkins Coie, reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/national-security\/clinton-campaign-dnc-paid-for-research-that-led-to-russia-dossier\/2017\/10\/24\/226fabf0-b8e4-11e7-a908-a3470754bbb9_story.html\">arranged<\/a> for the Fusion GPS opposition research firm to be hired by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to dig up Russian dirt on Trump. He is also widely viewed as a key player in Democrats\u2019 coordinated <a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/5936036\/secret-2020-election-campaign\/\">effort<\/a>&nbsp;to use the coronavirus pandemic to push for changes in voting rules in key swing states, such as vote-by-mail, during the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>It is possible, as one legal commentator <a href=\"https:\/\/technofog.substack.com\/p\/durham-dnc-lawyer-marc-elias-has\">noted<\/a>, that Elias\u2019s apparently grand jury testimony indicates that Durham is looking deeper than Sussmann\u2019s alleged dishonesty to the FBI, and investigating the Alfa Bank story, or even the claim that Russia hacked the DNC emails, a key claim in the widely accepted conclusion that Russia interfered in the election.<\/p>\n<p>Durham noted that the government has \u201can&nbsp;active, ongoing criminal investigation of [Sussmann\u2019s] conduct and other matters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Joel B.
