Eleven percent said they \u201cdon\u2019t know\u201d or are \u201cnot sure.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Additionally, the poll found 48 percent approve of how the Republican party has handled their job. There was also 52 percent who disapproved of the Republican party\u2019s job. But, it is lower than the Democrats\u2019 60 percent disapproval, who currently control Congress and have the power of the majority.<\/p>\n<p>When the respondents were asked about the Democrat party going too far to the left, 28 percent said the party is \u201cjust about right,\u201d while 25 percent said \u201cnot far enough,\u201d and 47 percent said they are \u201ctoo far to the left.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a result, when the respondents were asked who they would vote for if the congressional elections were held \u201ctoday,\u201d the Republicans led by six points. Forty-seven percent of the respondents said they would vote for the Democrats, while 53 percent would vote for the Republicans.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The monthly&nbsp;Harvard-Harris poll was taken January 19 and 20. There were&nbsp;1,815 registered voters asked to respond to questions.<\/p>\n<p>The poll is a bad sign for the Democrats in Congress, who need to defend their extremely slim majorities in the upcoming midterm election. Midterm elections, such as the one later this year, are not only a reflection on the president\u2019s party but a reflection on the Democrat\u2019s control of Washington.<\/p>\n<p>While not on the ballot, President Joe Biden has had a rough start to his presidency.<\/p>\n<p>In the first year, Biden has&nbsp;been plagued with bad poll numbers in the low thirties due to poor decision-making, such as&nbsp;a supply chain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/10\/19\/record-breaking-100-ships-anchored-waiting-at-los-angeles-and-long-beach-ports\/\">crisis<\/a>, record-high <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/white-house-braces-for-latest-us-inflation-surge\/\">inflation<\/a>, and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/08\/28\/pentagon-releases-names-of-the-13-service-members-killed-in-kabul-attack\/\">botched<\/a> Afghanistan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/22\/state-department-americans-afghanistan\/\">withdrawal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><i>Jacob Bliss is a reporter for Breitbart News.
