Chris Pappas, told Breitbart News that members of Congress and their immediate families should be banned&nbsp;from owning or trading individual stocks, with violators facing harsh penalties.<\/p>\n<p>Mowers, who was once a senior White House adviser \u2014 working&nbsp;hand-in-glove with the Trump administration and then-secretary of state to advance the America First agenda and issues such as&nbsp;religious freedom,&nbsp;immigration,&nbsp;the border, and more \u2014&nbsp;told Breitbart News that he calls on Rep. Chris Pappas (D-NH),&nbsp;his opponent and current member of Congress, to take action against members and their spouses for profiting on their corrupt insider trading practices.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cOnce again, Pappas is all talk and no action. Bukaty)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Mowers, who appears to be the first candidate to come out this strongly against members of Congress and their family members from trading stocks, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/06\/05\/exclusive-matt-mowers-republicans-need-strong-elected-officials-win-majority-hold-china-accountable-coronavirus\/\">was<\/a> also the first&nbsp;candidate in the country in January 2020 to call for a travel ban from China before the country started to shut down.<\/p>\n<p>Last week,&nbsp;former President Donald Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/19\/trump-backs-banning-nancy-pelosi-from-stock-trades-its-not-fair-to-the-rest-of-the-country\/\">told<\/a> Breitbart News during a press call that he backs the&nbsp;bipartisan efforts to ban members of Congress from trading stocks. When asked about Pelosi\u2019s stock trades that have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/12\/report-congress-beat-the-market-in-trading-for-2021\/\">outperformed<\/a> the market, he said,&nbsp;\u201cShe has inside information. It\u2019s not right. It\u2019s not appropriate. It shouldn\u2019t be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, a report from CNBC, Monday evening, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/01\/24\/gop-leaders-discuss-plans-to-campaign-on-limiting-congress-members-stock-trades.html?__source=sharebar%7Ctwitter&amp;par=sharebar\">revealed<\/a>&nbsp;Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and other top&nbsp;House Republicans had discussed ways to campaign on limiting members of Congress from trading stocks and noted that they would try and pass legislation when they regain the majority in the House.<\/p>\n<p><i>Jacob Bliss is a reporter for Breitbart News.
