Not both.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_19612930\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/GettyImages-161054289.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19612930\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/GettyImages-161054289.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"2387\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">(Kevork Djansezian\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Young\u2019s letter comes after 270 doctors, professors, and physicians signed an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/spotifyopenletter.wordpress.com\/2022\/01\/10\/an-open-letter-to-spotify\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">open letter<\/a>&nbsp;demanding that Spotify boots Joe Rogan.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>On Dec. 31, 2021, the&nbsp;<em>Joe Rogan Experience<\/em>&nbsp;(JRE), a Spotify-exclusive podcast, uploaded a highly controversial episode featuring guest&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politifact.com\/article\/2022\/jan\/06\/who-robert-malone-joe-rogans-guest-was-vaccine-sci\/\">Dr. Robert Malone<\/a>&nbsp;(#1757). The episode has been&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/brucelee\/2022\/01\/02\/what-is-mass-formation-psychosis-robert-malone-makes-covid-19-vaccine-claims-on-joe-rogan-show\/?sh=35939fb71d4c\">criticized<\/a>&nbsp;for promoting baseless conspiracy theories and the JRE has a concerning&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediamatters.org\/joe-rogan-experience\/joe-rogan-wrapped-year-covid-19-misinformation-right-wing-myths-and-anti-trans\">history<\/a>&nbsp;of broadcasting misinformation, particularly regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. By allowing the propagation of false and societally harmful assertions, Spotify is enabling its hosted media to damage public trust in scientific research and sow doubt in the credibility of data-driven guidance offered by medical professionals. JRE #1757 is not the only transgression to occur on the Spotify platform, but a relevant example of the platform\u2019s failure to mitigate the damage it is causing.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/neil-young-demands-spotify-remove-music-vaccine-disinformation-1290020\/\">noted<\/a> by <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>, Neil Young has not exactly been a friend to Spotify in recent years, having previously removed most of his music from the platform in 2019 after complaining about the sound quality; he ultimately relented and let Spotify carry his music.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s where people get music,\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/neil-young-interview-archives-crazy-horse-upcoming-albums-784773\/\">he said<\/a>.&nbsp;\u201cI want people to hear my music no matter what they have to get through to do it.
