Peloton\u2019s stock dropped shortly after that. The scare on the show comes just weeks after <em>Sex and the City<\/em>\u2018s Mr. Big character died&nbsp;while riding a Peloton in the series sequel&nbsp;<em>And Just Like That<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>***Spoiler Alert***<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;the following contains details that may be a spoiler for&nbsp;<em>Billions<\/em>&nbsp;fans who have yet to see Sunday night\u2019s episode.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>In a scene during Sunday\u2019s episode of <em>Billions<\/em>, character Mike \u201cWags\u201d Wagner (David&nbsp;Costabile) suffers a heart attack while riding an exercise bike, and tells the EMT characters, \u201cI\u2019m doing a Peloton class.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But unlike <em>Sex and the City<\/em>\u2018s Mr. Big character (played by actor Chris Noth),&nbsp;Wags survives, and even goes on to make a reference to Mr. Big\u2019s death in&nbsp;And Just Like That.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Another popular TV show&#8217;s storyline has <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Peloton?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Peloton<\/a> once again in the fictional crosshairs.<br \/>Like the real-world drama that followed the &#8220;Sex and the City&#8221; spinoff shocker, the show &#8220;Billions&#8221; has created a health related dustup around the popular work out bike<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/SPOILERALERT?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#SPOILERALERT<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/dCQ12vsGuR\">pic.twitter.com\/dCQ12vsGuR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Morning Express with Robin Meade (@MorningExp) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MorningExp\/status\/1485648745282904079?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 24, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>In another scene, Wags returns to the office, where he tells his employees in the show, \u201cI\u2019m not going out like Mr. Big.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Monday morning, Peloton\u2019s stock dropped. The company\u2019s&nbsp;stock also took a dive following Mr. Big\u2019s on-screen&nbsp;Peloton-related demise.<\/p>\n<p>Peloton reacted to the <em>Billions<\/em> scene by releasing a statement disclosing that the company did not approve the use of its brand or Intellectual property in the show.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We get TV shows want to include <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/onepeloton?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@onepeloton<\/a> to get people talking, but to be clear, we did *not* agree for our brand or IP to be used on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SHO_Billions?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SHO_Billions<\/a> or provide any equipment.
