She\u2019s traveled the country with her mother, speaking at rallies for LGBTQ rights. She\u2019s worked with the ACLU on pro-trans projects. She\u2019s met with national lawmakers to urge them to pass the Equality Act, which would outlaw discrimination on the basis of \u2026 gender identity.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cTime Magazine and all of these other magazines are endorsing the trans-the-gay away process,\u201d responded Natasha Chart, an activist who argues that transgender ideology destroys the cultural and legal foundations of women\u2019s rights and status. Instead of accepting a feminine boy who may well grow up to be gay or lesbian, the parents are using the transgender claim to \u201ctrans-the-gay-away\u201d by converting their embarrassing son into a non-embarrassing daughter, she said, adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>This is not standing up for your kids. This is switching one set of bullies for another set of bullies. This is \u2018I\u2019m embarrassed to bring my [feminine] kid to church, so I\u2019m going to go hang around with a bunch of bullies who think my little boy [should be] a girl.\u2019 Neither of them are good solutions.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Shappley\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cuIkLNsRtas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mother admitted<\/a> that she beat the boy at a young age because she feared he would grow up to be gay. In 2018, <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/cuIkLNsRtas?t=449\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">she told<\/a> an ACLU video team:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I remember even thinking before Kai was three, I think this kid might be gay, and I thought that that could not happen, that would not happen. We started praying fervently. Prayers turned into Googling conversion therapy and how can we implement these techniques at home to make Kai not be like this. Putting her on time out for acting like a girl, putting her on time out for stealing girl toys, spanking her, really spanking her, every time she would say \u2018You know I\u2019m a girl.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Homophobic child abuse. This poor child should have been removed from that home and adopted by parents who would actually love him.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RadFeminista (@rad_feminista) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rad_feminista\/status\/1287380338495365121?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 26, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>In 2017, the Huffington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/zWlen#selection-811.0-811.74\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">described the incentives<\/a>&nbsp;offered to the boy\u2019s mother:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI was very concerned, because at the time I was leading a small ministry at my church and teaching Bible study, and here I have this kid who people in my family were flat asking me if this kid was gay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>And then she was connected to a secret Facebook group of over 1,000 moms like her \u2015 Christians who are raising transgender children. The women call themselves \u201cmama bears\u201d and refer to each other as a \u201ctribe,\u201d because so many of them lose their family and friends when they decide to accept their children.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAll of a sudden, all is better because Jack is really Jackie,\u201d&nbsp; said Alix Aharon, an advocate for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gendermapper.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">child safeguarding<\/a>&nbsp;who is a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womensliberationfront.org\/our-work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Women\u2019s Liberation Front<\/a>: \u201cIt\u2019s a girl! Not a gay boy, not a sissy!&nbsp;Society is not going to shake you shake your hand and say, \u2018Well done, you\u2019ve got a sissy boy.\u2019 But if you say you have a transgender girl, well, there\u2019s a parade for you, you get all of this attention from wider society, you\u2019re praised as a wonderful mother, a great person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Time<\/em> will announce the \u201cKid of the Year\u201d on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etonline.com\/trevor-noah-returns-as-host-of-nickelodeon-and-times-kid-of-the-year-special-177946\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">February 9<\/a>, in a co-production with <a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/6080952\/time-and-nickelodeon-announce-search-for-second-annual-kid-of-the-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nickelodeon<\/a>, a TV network aimed at kids:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Like the first year, the top five honorees from the list will be featured in a TV special hosted by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.etonline.com\/people\/trevor-noah\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trevor Noah<\/a>, with one kid ultimately being recognized as \u201cKid of the Year\u201d and featured on a cover of&nbsp;<em>Time<\/em>&nbsp;with a companion story in&nbsp;<em>Time for Kids<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cTraditionally,&nbsp;if somebody didn\u2019t like their gay kid, they would just tell them to leave home, they wouldn\u2019t castrate them,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/LskQouFED5M?t=832\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aharon.<\/a>&nbsp;She continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>It might be hard to accept that your child is gay and does deviate from the norm. But it is a much brighter outcome for you and your family to accept whatever that is than to encourage them to embark on a dangerous journey of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries that damage their healthy genitalia.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThis is your kid, you\u2019re supposed to be their first defender,\u201d said Chart. Whether they are boys or girls \u201cyou should be defending them against this kind of bullying from other people, not internalizing it. You should be standing up, saying, \u2018Well, hey, you know, this is just like [the child\u2019s] personality,&#8217;\u201d said Chart.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;I wanted to show them that all these lies people have been spreading [about trans kids] are not true&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Uckka5eeKT\">https:\/\/t.co\/Uckka5eeKT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 TIME (@TIME) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TIME\/status\/1482360171426947078?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 15, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A surprising number of prominent gays encourage this \u201ctrams-the-gay-away\u201d process, Aharon said:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I find it really quite mind-boggling that prominent, famous gay men support the idea of Kai [Shappley] and Jazz Jennings [going through this process] because they don\u2019t see themselves in that whole story. It\u2019s very well for Elton John, for example, to be sitting there in his 60s with his intact penis and his intact body, and then to be watching this \u2026 Have you no sympathy for yourself and the way this turned out for you as a kid?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Research studies show that almost 9 of 10 kids who initially claim a different-sex identity <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transgendertrend.com\/current-evidence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">soon reclaim<\/a> their own sex.<\/p>\n<p>Feminine behavior by young boys can be common, Aharon said. \u201cYoung boys often try to wear their mother\u2019s clothes because they love the mother, so it\u2019s often a sign of boys being very close to their mothers,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cNow 18 years old, Jaah, who writes music, has come forward revealing that she was a lesbian that had struggled with internalized homophobia as a kid. She was taught that the only way she could like another girl, was if she was a boy.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/h7jytoq5xL\">https:\/\/t.co\/h7jytoq5xL<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Radfem Black (@RadfemBlack) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RadfemBlack\/status\/1483646499569426438?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 19, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Girls are also getting transubstantiated into boys, especially girls who are shocked by puberty and unwanted sexual attention from aggressive, porn-watching boys.<\/p>\n<p>Porn indirectly pressures girls to display either themselves as sexualized women \u2014 but the transgender ideology allows them to escape the pressure by declaring themselves to be \u201cnon-binary\u201d non-females, Aharon said. The \u201cdangerous dichotomy facing young girls today [is] either hypersexualize or de-sex altogether,\u201d she said, noting that many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/s?q=top%20surgery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">girls beg for money<\/a> to surgically remove their breasts.<\/p>\n<p>The transgender ideology is not about aiding troubled children or sexual minorities, author Andrew Sullivan&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/andrewsullivan.substack.com\/p\/the-trans-movement-is-not-about-rights-67e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a>&nbsp;January 14:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>What the trans movement is now doing \u2026 is not about rights at all. It is about cultural revolution. It\u2019s a much broader movement to dismantle the sex binary, to see biology as a function of power and not science, and thereby to deconstruct the family and even a fixed category such as homosexuality \u2026&nbsp;The radicalism of this assault on nature, science and bodily integrity is not hidden \u2026&nbsp;a view of the body as beyond sex or gender, to be created and recreated at will and indefinitely, and an abandonment of any stable notion of sex at all. Whatever else this is, it is not a matter of civil rights.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The transgender movement is diverse, with competing goals and priorities.<\/p>\n<p>The movement includes heterosexual&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blanchard%27s_transsexualism_typology#Autogynephilia_and_autoandrophilia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">autogynephilic<\/a>&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@sue.donym1984\/the-elephant-in-the-room-dc822144a81b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">men<\/a>&nbsp;who&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2017\/05\/26\/survey-shows-transgender-seen-unattractive\/\">demand<\/a>&nbsp;sex&nbsp;from&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NeilMunroDC\/status\/1118578637568192515\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">lesbians<\/a>, non-political people&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"http:\/\/www.papermag.com\/trans-gnc-trump-memo-2614298355.html?rebelltitem=52#rebelltitem52\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">trying<\/a>&nbsp;to live as idealized stereotypes of the opposite sex, and pre-pubescent&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tv\/jazz-jennings-transgender-bottom-surgery-complications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">children<\/a>&nbsp;with&nbsp;childish views of sexuality.<\/p>\n<p>It includes alienated young men&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/sissythings.com\/your-sissification-process\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">fantasizing<\/a>&nbsp;about being submissive women, lesbians trying to&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2006\/08\/20\/fashion\/20gender.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">become<\/a>&nbsp;men, teenage girls trying to&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.svtplay.se\/video\/22035454\/uppdrag-granskning\/uppdrag-granskning-sasong-20-the-trans-train\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">flee<\/a>&nbsp;a sexual environment twisted by pornography, and&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/magazine-29832690\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">gay teenagers<\/a>&nbsp;trying to escape their minority status by adopting an attempted mainstream male identity.<\/p>\n<p>It includes feminists who wish to&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thecut.com\/2016\/06\/judith-butler-c-v-r.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">blur&nbsp;<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/02\/21\/transgenderism-a-mans-penis-can-be-a-female-penis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">distinctions<\/a>&nbsp;between the two sexes and people who <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/transwomen69\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">glamorize<\/a> the <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/verynaija.com\/2019\/05\/09\/mtf-transgender-model-indya-moore-covers-may-issue-of-elle-magazine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">distinctions<\/a>&nbsp;between the two complementary sexes.<\/p>\n<p>The transgender environment also includes&nbsp;revenue-seeking&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@sue.donym1984\/inauthentic-selves-the-modern-lgbtq-movement-is-run-by-philanthropic-astroturf-and-based-on-junk-d08eb6aa1a4b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">drug companies<\/a>&nbsp;and medical service <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/wpath.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">providers<\/a>, wealthy&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/midterm-election\/2018\/02\/20\/report-transgender-ideology-powered-by-400-million-donations\/\" rel=\"noopener\">donors<\/a>, ambitious&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2017\/07\/26\/politico-gop-reps-prompted-donald-trump-announce-transgender-reform\/amp\/\">politicians<\/a>, manipulative&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/education\/2021\/12\/17\/parents-outraged-claim-teacher-coached-daughter-into-identifying-as-trans-fluid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">teachers<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HRC\/status\/1055142803423010816?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">professional advocates<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&nbsp;also includes&nbsp;sexual&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2018\/10\/24\/dr-quentin-van-meter-transgenderism-invented-1950s-johns-hopkins-lab\/\" rel=\"noopener\">liberationists<\/a>&nbsp;and many&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mercatornet.com\/conjugality\/view\/transgender-triumph-time-for-a-reality-check\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">progressives<\/a>&nbsp;who are eager to liberate people from their bodies,&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NeilMunroDC\/status\/1119327135867523072\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">parents<\/a>&nbsp;who are <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/4th_WaveNow\/status\/1125057894691557378\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">eager<\/a> or <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NeilMunroDC\/status\/1113644381389688832\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">willing<\/a> to&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NYMag\/status\/1473484503976972289?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">endorse<\/a>&nbsp;transgender claims, and journalists&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/author\/dawn-ennis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">eager to help<\/a>&nbsp;their social peers.<\/p>\n<p>This movement is increasingly being opposed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/30\/trans-activists-admit-theyve-lost-the-debate-urge-stealth-tactics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">public<\/a>, young people trying to \u201c<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TransREGRETS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">de-transition<\/a>\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2017\/09\/08\/14-year-old-boy-changes-mind-two-years-transitioning-woman-hormones\/\" rel=\"noopener\">back<\/a>&nbsp;to their sex, <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CEJacksonLaw\/status\/1475555454432415746?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">parents<\/a>&nbsp;trying to shield their children from transgender activists, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womensliberationfront.org\/our-work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">liberal and conservative<\/a> critics of the transgender ideology.<\/p>\n[embedded
