Gretchen Whitmer (D) are underwater with&nbsp;likely Michigan voters months ahead of the 2022 election, where the governor is running for reelection and the president\u2019s failed agenda items in Washington will be put to the test with voters.<\/p>\n<p>The poll, first <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.fo\/SE6UZ#selection-2909.0-2961.41\">reported<\/a> by&nbsp;ABC12 News, showed that only 32 percent of likely Michigan voters have a positive view of Biden\u2019s job as president. In comparison, an overwhelming majority (66 percent) gave the&nbsp;president a&nbsp;negative review of his&nbsp;job performance. Included in those numbers are 44 percent who said Biden is doing a \u201cpoor job\u201d and 22 percent who said the president is \u201cjust fair.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Biden, who has now been in office for over a year, has been plagued with bad poll numbers for months after dealing&nbsp;with the consequences of poor decision-making, such as&nbsp;a supply chain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/10\/19\/record-breaking-100-ships-anchored-waiting-at-los-angeles-and-long-beach-ports\/\">crisis<\/a>, record-high <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/white-house-braces-for-latest-us-inflation-surge\/\">inflation<\/a>, and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/08\/28\/pentagon-releases-names-of-the-13-service-members-killed-in-kabul-attack\/\">botched<\/a> Afghanistan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/22\/state-department-americans-afghanistan\/\">withdrawal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The respondents also gave a poor review to Whitmer, who is up for reelection. Only 45 percent of the respondents said they have a&nbsp;positive view of&nbsp;Whitmer, while a&nbsp;majority (52 percent) viewed the governor negatively. Three percent said they were undecided or refused to answer.<\/p>\n<p>The poll found that only 41 percent of the respondents stated that they would support the governor\u2019s reelection efforts. (Michigan Office of the Governor via AP)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In a&nbsp;hypothetical 2022 head-to-head matchup between&nbsp;Whitmer and the&nbsp;Republican gubernatorial front-runner,&nbsp;former Detroit Police Chief James Craig, the governor led by five points, 46 percent to 41 percent. However, 55 percent of respondents said they did not recognize the former police chief\u2019s name.<\/p>\n<p>The statewide poll for&nbsp;ABC12 News was conducted by&nbsp;EPIC-MRA and asked&nbsp;600 likely Michigan voters.
