Michelle Lujan&nbsp;Grisham in her race for reelection this year, according to a recent internal polling memo.<\/p>\n<p>The memo, provided to Breitbart News, shows results of a poll conducted by Cygnal among 531 likely general election voters. The results reveal 52 percent of respondents want someone other than Grisham to be governor, while 39 percent would reelect her. Nine percent of respondents said they were undecided.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The poll also found two frontrunning Republicans were in striking distance of Grisham, Army veteran Greg Zanetti and meteorologist and former Senate candidate Mark Ronchetti. On an \u201cuninformed ballot,\u201d Grisham leads Ronchetti by one percent and Zanetti by 4.7 percent. A third Republican candidate, State Rep. (AP Photo\/Morgan Lee, File).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Zanetti, however, makes close to an eight-point swing and leads Grisham by three percent when respondents are presented with background information about the Republican candidates, including information that Ronchetti is an \u201canti-Trumper\u201d whose \u201conly relevant work experience is as a weatherman\u201d and that Dow comes with the baggage of a civil lawsuit settlement, which&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/nmpoliticalreport.com\/2017\/03\/16\/state-lawmaker-settles-lawsuit-for-260000\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">occurred<\/a>&nbsp;in 2017 after an employee of Dow\u2019s at a Boys and Girls Club was&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ctpost.com\/news\/article\/Alejandro-Hernandez-Truth-or-Consequences-New-14089801.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">jailed<\/a>&nbsp;for two counts of sexual contact with a minor.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Presented with those details, Grisham leads Ronchetti by five percent and Dow by 12 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The poll suggests Grisham, a one-term governor and former U.S. representative, is vulnerable in her bid for a second term in office. In addition to the poll revealing tight races in a state that generally leans slightly blue, a net positive five percent of respondents said they believe New Mexico is headed down the \u201cwrong track.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zanetti, the candidate who released the polling memo, is a West Point graduate who served on Joint Task Force Guantanamo in 2008 and now works as a financial adviser. The New Mexico Republican said in a statement that the poll echoes what he has \u201cbeen hearing throughout the state on the campaign trail.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew Mexicans feel the state is headed in the wrong direction and they are ready for a new governor,\u201d Zanetti said. \u201cVoters rolled the dice in the 2018 gubernatorial race and elected someone not ready to serve. Look where that has gotten us.
