Wade after tens of thousands of pro-life Americans protested abortion in Washington, DC, during the March for Life on Friday.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe must ensure that our daughters and granddaughters have the same fundamental rights that their mothers and grandmothers fought for and won on this day, 49 years ago,\u201d they wrote.<\/p>\n<p>They condemned state restrictions on abortion such as those in Texas and Mississippi that ban abortion after six weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe continued defense of this constitutional right is essential to our health, safety, and progress as a nation,\u201d the president and vice president wrote.<\/p>\n<p>They repeatedly defended the right to abortion, backing legislation to codify Roe v.
