(Photo by Mario Tama\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/01\/18\/pete-buttigieg-silent-on-looting-from-cargo-trains-in-los-angeles\/\">done little<\/a> about the theft, while claiming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/01\/11\/l-a-mayor-eric-garcetti-gushes-pete-buttigieg-saved-christmas\/\">credit<\/a> for having \u201csaved Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Newsom <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.ca.gov\/2022\/01\/20\/governor-newsom-brings-in-state-support-for-rail-theft-in-los-angeles-highlights-state-efforts-to-fight-and-prevent-crime\/\">touted<\/a> his \u201cReal Public Safety Plan,\u201d which proposes $255 million in grants to law enforcement agencies. It does not reverse the cuts to law enforcement undertaken by many Democrat-run cities, including L.A., where Mayor Eric Garcetti cut police funding by up to $150 million in response to the Black Lives Matter riots in the summer of 2020. Newsom also promoted his programs aimed at cleaning up the state and assisting \u201clocal litter abatement efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Joel B.
