If states and cities put strong public health measures in place that we all follow, then my team will work to see that the majority of our schools can be open by the end of my first 100 days.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Earlier today, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about Biden\u2019s plan to reopen schools in his first 100 days, and what this would entail.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cCould you help us understand what the White House\u2019s, or what the president\u2019s definition of open schools is? Does it mean teachers in classroom teaching students in classroom or does it just mean kids in classroom with a remote screen? Help us understand,\u201d a member of the press briefing audience<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c-span.org\/video\/?508832-1\/white-house-daily-briefing\"><span>asked<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Psaki responded, \u201cSure, his goal that he set is to have the majority of schools, so more than 50 percent, open by day 100 of his presidency. And that means some teaching in classrooms. So at least one a day week, hopefully it\u2019s more. And obviously it is as much as is safe in each school and local district.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Noting the subtle difference between Biden\u2019s promise in December that \u201cthe majority of our schools can be open by the end of my first 100 days\u201d and Psaki\u2019s claim that he meant \u201csome teaching in classrooms\u201d at least \u201cone a day week,\u201d the reporter followed up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWhen you say \u2018some teaching,\u2019 you didn\u2019t use the same majority qualifier there, you just said \u2018some teaching\u2019 in schools, some teachers in school, not the majority of teachers in school in the majority of classrooms,\u201d they said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Psaki responded, \u201cTeaching at least one day a week in the majority of schools by day 100.\u201d In December, Biden did not include such clarifying details when discussing \u201copen\u201d schools.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This is not the first time Psaki has appeared to walk back some of Biden\u2019s initial campaign promises. After Biden \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/psaki-press-conference-biden-vaccine\"><span>predicted<\/span><\/a> <span>every American who wanted a vaccine would be able to get one by springtime,\u201d Psaki was forced to state one day later that the vaccine would not be widely available by then.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWhat the president\u2019s goal is, is ensuring that there\u2019s greater availability in the spring,\u201d Psaki said. \u201cHe will push his team\u2026This is his focus every single day.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cBut the fact is, is every American is not going to be eligible this spring,\u201d she added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
