Former president Donald Trump stopped the payments over the PA\u2019s support of terrorists and Congress passed the&nbsp;<span class=\"il\">Taylor<\/span>&nbsp;<span class=\"il\">Force<\/span>&nbsp;Act during his tenure.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>According to Palestinian government\u2019s current policy, terrorists who are serving out sentences in Israeli jails receive stipends in accordance with the severity of their crime \u2013 the more Israelis they murdered, the more money they receive.<\/p>\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Final-Complaint-F-2021-06301-State-Department-FOIA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lawsuit<\/a>, a copy of which was exclusively obtained by the<em>&nbsp;Beacon<\/em>, the State Department did not answer PPT\u2019s FOIA request for more than 240 days, well beyond the permitted statutory period.<\/p>\n<p>The report said:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The information in question could show the Biden administration resumed Palestinian aid in violation of a law known as the Taylor Force Act, a 2018 bipartisan piece of legislation that bars the federal government from providing taxpayer aid to the Palestinian government as long as it continues a policy known as \u201cpay to slay,\u201d in which aid dollars are used to pay terrorists and their families. The Palestinian Authority continues to make these payments, generating concerns from lawmakers and watchdog groups like PPT that the Biden administration violated the law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe American public deserves transparency around this decision, which may not only be in violation of the law but could potentially result in increased danger for U.S. citizens and their allies,\u201d Michael Chamberlain, PPT\u2019s director, told the&nbsp;<em>Free Beacon<\/em>. \u201cBut the State Department has yet to even give an estimate for when we will receive records, much less provide any.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The report also noted the State Department\u2019s own admission to Congress in March 2021 that the Palestinian government spent at least $151 million in 2019 on the pay-to-slay program.
