Sean Roberts (R-OK) <a href=\"https:\/\/tulsaworld.com\/news\/state-and-regional\/govt-and-politics\/state-rep-sean-roberts-says-hell-file-texas-type-abortion-bill\/article_01b19194-6ff1-11ec-88a7-8731731757f4.html\">said<\/a> in a press statement:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The pro-life citizens of Oklahoma should have the ability to help hold these doctors accountable. Individual citizens are an extremely important part of making sure that we are protecting the lives of the unborn. Wade<\/em> in <em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/em>, a challenge to a Mississippi law that restricts abortion, Oklahoma could return to a state law that outlaws all abortions except to save the life of the mother.<\/p>\n<p>Oklahoma is one of many Republican-led states seeking to mirror the basic principles of the Texas Heartbeat Act since the U.S. Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/10\/supreme-court-allows-texas-abortion-law-to-remain-in-effect-while-lawsuit-continues-against-it\/\">allowed<\/a> the Texas law to remain in effect while lawsuits continue against it.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, during her State of the State address, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/gov-kristi-noem-calls-for-ban-on-abortions-after-fetal-heartbeat-in-south-dakota\">called&nbsp;<\/a>on her legislature to pass a law banning abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Abortions have dropped by 80% in South Dakota over the last decade, but there is more that we can do to protect unborn lives.<\/p>\n<p>We must end abortions once a heartbeat can be detected. Anthony Sabatini (@AnthonySabatini) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AnthonySabatini\/status\/1480664674144247812?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 10, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Arizona Heartbeat Act was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azleg.gov\/legtext\/55leg\/2R\/bills\/HB2483P.htm\">introduced<\/a> this week to the state legislature.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The bill would prohibit a physician to \u201cknowingly perform or induce an abortion on a pregnant woman if the physician detects a fetal heartbeat for the unborn child.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the bill contains a unique enforcement mechanism, similar to that in the Texas law, whereby any private citizen may file a civil lawsuit against an abortion provider or any other individual who \u201caids or abets\u201d a \u201ccriminal abortion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStatutory damages in an amount of $10,000 or more for each abortion that the defendant performed or induced in violation of title 36, chapter 23, article 3 and for each abortion performed or induced in violation of title 36, chapter 23, article 3 in which the defendant aided or abetted,\u201d the Arizona bill states.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Murphy Bannerman of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona said, if the bill passes, \u201cIt really forces people to make hard decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEither they are going to have to go out of state to get the care they need \u2013 they have seen that in Texas, and people are having to go to neighboring states to get the care they need, and it makes it hard for those who don\u2019t have the resources to commute out of state,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox10phoenix.com\/news\/arizona-lawmaker-introduces-bill-that-aims-to-stop-most-abortions-in-the-state\">told<\/a> FOX10Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>More states are seeing similar bills introduced as the national March for Life takes place January 21 in the nation\u2019s capital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll human life has dignity and deserves equal protection under the law from the moment of conception,\u201d said Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life, in a statement sent to Breitbart News.<\/p>\n<p>She elaborated:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>It is clear that this legislation was&nbsp;born from much frustration over the fact that states haven\u2019t been permitted to debate and determine policy on this hotly contested issue since the tragic decision in&nbsp;<em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>. We hope that the Supreme Court\u2019s decision in&nbsp;<em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/em>&nbsp;will restore to the people, through their duly elected representatives, the ability to have a say in the laws governing abortion.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Lawmakers in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/missouri-lawmaker-and-mother-of-six-introduces-texas-style-heartbeat-bill\/\">Missouri<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbs42.com\/alabama-news\/alabama-lawmakers-introduce-abortion-ban-mirroring-texas-heartbeat-bill\/\">Alabama<\/a> also introduced \u201cheartbeat\u201d bills in December.<\/p>\n<p>Idaho <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/health-courts-abortion-us-supreme-court-idaho-5d4569eb6fc1b695633ad7aae3c5cc4e\">passed<\/a> a bill last year similar to that of Texas.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the pro-life caucus in North Dakota\u2019s state legislature <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kvrr.com\/2021\/09\/02\/state-senator-says-north-dakota-likely-to-use-texas-abortion-law-as-model\/\">said<\/a> it is likely lawmakers will take up a heartbeat bill in that state as well.<\/p>\n<p>North Dakota State Sen. Janne Myrdal (R) told KVRR in September the U.S. Supreme Court\u2019s decision not to review the Texas law at that time provided \u201ca glimmer of hope\u201d the justices might overturn <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> in <em>Dobbs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt needs to be sent back to the states where it belongs,\u201d Myrdal said.<\/p>\n<p>In September, state Sen. Jason Rapert of Arkansas (R) also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/09\/03\/arkansas-state-senator-texas-abortion\/\">proposed<\/a> a bill that mirrored the Texas law.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">As the original sponsor of the first <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/HeartbeatBill?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#HeartbeatBill<\/a> to pass in America in 2013, today I have ordered a bill be filed in Arkansas to update our law to mirror the Texas SB8 bill which was just passed as a Model Bill at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChristLawmakers?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ChristLawmakers<\/a> &amp; upheld by the US Supreme Court. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/arpx?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#arpx<\/a> 1\/2 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/cjoeTmCKdz\">pic.twitter.com\/cjoeTmCKdz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jason Rapert (@jasonrapert) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jasonrapert\/status\/1433405377652084737?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 2, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>With the March for Life approaching, the American Life League (ALL) said in a press statement sent to Breitbart News it is calling upon the pro-life movement to \u201cquit compromising.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ALL observed the March\u2019s founder, the late Nellie Gray, agreed with ALL\u2019s zero tolerance approach to abortion and actually inspired ALL to take that position.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview aired in 1994 with EWTN\u2019s Mother Angelica, Gray explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>If you live with evil long enough \u2026 it\u2019s the old, old thing. First, you sort of resist it. Then, you don\u2019t quite resist it anymore. Then, you tolerate it a little, then you live side-by-side with it. Then, somehow or another you kind of accept it.
