Thomas Massie (R-KY), showed what <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepThomasMassie\/status\/1483102654100385797?s=20\">appeared<\/a> to be a parking attendant in a suit attempting to encourage Norton to navigate the diagonal parking spaces.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>After reversing multiple times and without properly aligning the car in the space,&nbsp;Norton reportedly abandoned her car&nbsp;perpendicular to the curb and walked away, likely blocking the nearby SUV from leaving its space.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SpeakerPelosi?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SpeakerPelosi<\/a> is seriously considering this person to serve as the chairwoman of the Transportation Committee. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Gh5698ZeYU\">pic.twitter.com\/Gh5698ZeYU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Thomas Massie (@RepThomasMassie) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepThomasMassie\/status\/1483102654100385797?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 17, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Massie revealed in a tweeted thread that&nbsp;Norton, who has represented D.C. residents since 1991, may be <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepThomasMassie\/status\/1483108458585014281?s=20\">appointed<\/a> to the top spot on the Transportation Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Massie\u2019s tweet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/norton-larsen-bid-for-top-democratic-spot-on-transportation-committee\/ar-AARoVk6\">included<\/a> a RollCall article detailing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi\u2019s (D-CA) intention to potentially replace retiring current chair Rep. Peter A. DeFazio with Norton or Rep. Rick Larsen (D-WA):<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Del.&nbsp;Eleanor Holmes Norton, D-D.C., and Rep.&nbsp;Rick Larsen, D-Wash., both formally declared their candidacy for the top Democratic spot on the committee, with Norton announcing her bid hours after DeFazio\u2019s retirement announcement Wednesday and Larsen formally announcing Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>DeFazio is chairman of the panel.
