Several bicycles belonging to those in the car, its cracked windshield, and dented body were seen in the pictures.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-post\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/EarthTouch\/posts\/4965341650184862\" data-width=\"640\">\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/121043114614764\/posts\/4965341650184862\/\" class=\"fb-xfbml-parse-ignore\">\n<p>Tourists travelling in South Africa\u2019s iSimangaliso Wetland Park recently were lucky to survive a frightening encounter\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Posted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/121043114614764\">Earth Touch<\/a> on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/121043114614764\/posts\/4965341650184862\/\">Monday, January 17, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>In a statement Monday, iSimangaliso Wetland Park <a href=\"https:\/\/isimangaliso.com\/newsflash\/an-elephant-incident-at-isimangaliso-wetland-park\/\">said<\/a> the vehicle traveling to Cape Vidal carrying two adults and two children came into contact with the animal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe elephant reportedly pushed the vehicle with its tusks, and rolled the car on its side and its roof, with the passengers still inside,\u201d officials explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Park officials responded to the incident and rescued the family, and fortunately there were no severe injuries sustained by the passengers. The family is reportedly from Mtunzini in KwaZulu-Natal.&nbsp;Although such incidents are not a common occurrence in iSimangaliso, we wish to caution our visitors to always remain vigilant and keep to a distance of at least 50 metres from wildlife, particularly the big five.
