That margin was also the largest Gallup has measured in favor of Democrats in the poll\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p>Gallup polled 12,416 adults across all 50 states and Washington, DC throughout 2021, for a margin of error of one percent.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Gallup: In 2021, Republicans went from a 9 point deficit in party identification to a 5 point lead.<\/p>\n<p>If that were to hold into the 2022 midterms it would be a seismic victory on election night \u2013 this is the biggest advantage for Republicans since the 1994 \u201cRepublican Revolution.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jQQGEGAcJT\">pic.twitter.com\/jQQGEGAcJT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Josh Jordan (@NumbersMuncher) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NumbersMuncher\/status\/1483086318842396673?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 17, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party saw their approval ratings collapse over the second half of 2021. Starting in August with the fall of Afghanistan, Biden\u2019s approval <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/06\/quinnipiac-poll-joe-biden-job-performance-low\/\">rating<\/a> dropped from north of 50% to 41.6% in the RealClearPolitics <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/other\/president-biden-job-approval-7320.html\">average<\/a>. During the same time, Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/03\/republican-majority-virginia-house-delegates-glenn-youngkin\/\">captured<\/a> the Virginia House of Delegates and governorship, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/new-nj-legislature-and-new-senate-president-sworn-in-some-of-the-many-new-faces-make-history.html\">flipped<\/a> seven seats in the New Jersey state legislature. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/08\/state-republicans-gop-working-class-party\/\">(RELATED: State-Level Republicans Claim Victory In Fight For Multiracial, Working-Class Party)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s drop has been fueled by the continued exodus of Hispanic voters from the Democratic Party. A poll <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/15\/equis-labs-poll-hispanic-voters-fleeing-democratic-party\/\">conducted<\/a> in early December found that nearly 70% of Hispanic voters support the tax cuts associated with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, while 55% of Hispanics support increased spending on border security.<\/p>\n<p>Other polls have shown that Republicans are poised to take back both congressional chambers.
