And we want to make sure that everybody has the tools and resources that they need in order to protect themselves and their families.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Psaki immediately moved on to the next reporter.<\/p>\n<p><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/p>\n<p>During <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2022\/01\/13\/remarks-by-president-biden-at-virtual-meeting-on-military-deployments-supporting-hospitals-for-the-covid-19-response\/\">remarks<\/a> at the White House on Thursday, President Biden said that it was our \u201cpatriotic duty\u201d to wear masks, then he spoke about his alleged free mask distribution plan:<\/p>\n<p><em>Please wear a mask.&nbsp;If you\u2019re in a \u2014 you know, I think it is part of your patriotic duty. It\u2019s not that comfortable.&nbsp;It\u2019s a pain in the neck.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>[\u2026]<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We have also helped make sure that high-quality masks are widely available, in ample supply, at affordable prices, sold online and in stores. But I know that for some Americans, a mask is not always affordable or convenient to get. So, next week we\u2019ll announce how we are making high-quality masks available to American people \u2014 the American people for free.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The president didn\u2019t elaborate on the plan.<\/p>\n<p>Biden isn\u2019t the only Democrat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/bernie-sanders-congress-must-demand-the-mass-production-and-distribution-of-n95-masks\">pushing<\/a> for free N95 or KN95 masks. On Wednesday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sanders.senate.gov\/press-releases\/news-sanders-reintroduces-legislation-to-give-every-american-lifesaving-n95-masks\/\">reintroduced<\/a> his \u201cMasks for All Act,\u201d which is co-sponsored by multiple Democratic senators, including Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Cory Booker (D-NJ).<\/p>\n<p>Sanders said of the proposed legislation:<\/p>\n<p><em>Congress must demand the mass production and distribution of N95 masks, one of the most effective ways to stop the spread of the Covid virus. It is an absolute scandal that in the richest country in the history of the world, high-quality masks are not more readily available to frontline workers, health care workers, and all Americans. We are proposing that we do what our public health experts and scientists say we must do: provide all of our people with high-quality, N95 masks without cost, which could prevent death and suffering and save huge amounts of health care dollars.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/prevent-getting-sick\/types-of-masks.html\">updated<\/a> their mask guidance, providing information about higher-quality masks, including N95 and KN95 masks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLoosely woven cloth products provide the least protection, layered finely woven products offer more protection, well-fitting disposable surgical masks and KN95s offer even more protection, and well-fitting NIOSH-approved respirators (including N95s) offer the highest level of protection,\u201d the CDC website states.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
