He warned about the&nbsp;\u201cpace of profit growth at the company\u2019s direct-to-consumer and parks businesses, which is now below consensus through fiscal 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Disney\u2019s theme parks will likely see a slower recovery due to continued effects of the coronavirus pandemic, he said, as the parks division will be \u201cimpacted by heightened attendance restrictions and consumer caution.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_19495146\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/AP20233754648174.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19495146\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/AP20233754648174.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>(Charles Sykes\/Invision\/AP)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Disney plans to spend as much as $33 billion on content over the next year, according to the company\u2019s annual report. That represents an $8 billion increase from the previous fiscal year when Disney said it spent about $25 billion on content.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The company said its expansion of streaming entertainment is driving the surge in spending.<\/p>\n<p>Like other Hollywood studios, Disney is betting the farm on streaming entertainment, with high-profile blockbusters flopping at the box office.
