I\u2019m confident they\u2019ll do the trick and the \u2018Made in China\u2019 declaration only adds to my confidence,\u201d Long said.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the omicron variant of the coronavirus, the House physician mandated lawmakers wear N95 or KN95 masks. KN95 are masks similar to N95. However, the \u201cK\u201d denotes a mask manufactured in China.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Each congressional office was&nbsp;reportedly <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/washington-secrets\/made-in-china-masks-distributed-to-house-members-staff-irk-some\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">given<\/a> five masks as well.<\/p>\n<p>Republican members of Congress spoke out against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi\u2019s (D-CA) decision to distribute KN95 masks.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Greg Murphy (R-NC) called out Pelosi for the \u201csenseless optics of her own decision-making.\u201d \u201cWe are fighting a virus that came from China, yet the Speaker is comfortable with publicly supporting a Chinese manufacturer, sending our taxpayer dollars overseas and further advertising our dependency on China,\u201d Murphy&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/kn95-masks-distributed-house-members-stamped-made-china\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ)&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/kn95-masks-distributed-house-members-stamped-made-china\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a>&nbsp;Fox News it is fitting \u201cfor the Democrats to be handing out masks that were made in the same place the virus originated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH), chairman of the House GOP Doctors Caucus,&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/kn95-masks-distributed-house-members-stamped-made-china\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;the decision to distribute KN95 masks is indicative of the dangers the ongoing supply chain crisis has on the U.S.\u2019s \u201coverall national health.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fact that the masks we are mandated to wear in the U.S.&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/category\/congress\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Congress<\/a>&nbsp;are made in&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/category\/china\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">China<\/a>&nbsp;is just one example of our inabilities to protect and treat Americans without relying on adversaries,\u201d Wenstrup said. \u201cThese Chinese masks further highlight our need to divest away from the [Chinese Communist Party].
