He said the country and his party are both \u201cfrustrated\u201d with Biden and argued it is \u201cvery dark for him right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m reminded of an old saying. John McCain used to mangle this quote from Chairman Mao. He used to say it is darkest before it turns completely black. That\u2019s where Joe Biden is right now \u2014 just, you know, schools are closing, people out in the country have COVID exhaustion, here in Washington, the president is disappointing his own base,\u201d King emphasized. \u201cSo, he has two giant problems. One with the broader country that doesn\u2019t wake up every day with a checklist \u2014 you know, what did Joe Biden do for me today? They wake up every day to try to live their very complicated, stressful lives now in the beginning of year three of this pandemic, and candidate Joe Biden said I\u2019m not Donald Trump; I\u2019ll be better at this. President Joe Biden, back in July, said we\u2019re going to begin a summer of freedom. Well, people don\u2019t feel like they have that summer of freedom, do they, with Omicron surging? So, the COVID frustration, the impact on schools, on businesses, on the economy, on public health has an exhausted country saying, \u2018Mr. President, you really haven\u2019t given us what you promised.\u2019 Then his own base says, \u2018Mr. President, you haven\u2019t given us what you promised.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe country is frustrated.
