This is directly related to China\u2019s national security and serves as a common task for Central Asian countries. China\u2019s clear attitude of preventing chaos or war embodies the responsibility of a major power \u2013 that is, China will not stand by idly and let happen what are detrimental to China\u2019s national interests and to the common welfare of the entire region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>China has the largest number of neighbors in the world, with 14 bordering China on land. It has always been China\u2019s goal to ensure that its neighbors are free from chaos and crises that will affect China\u2019s sovereignty, security and development interests. Allowing no chaos and war is China\u2019s solemn attitude when it comes to matters of major security concerns threatened by disturbances from outside forces, such as issues related to the Korean Peninsula and the South China Sea. China is very prudent when dealing with international affairs and will always keep its words.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>No country\u2019s development can go ahead without stable surrounding environments. If neighboring countries fall in turmoil, become unable to maintain political and social stability, and even engage in chaos and war, their influence may spill over. The US knows this well. And it has been constantly stirring up unrest in neighbors of other big countries, while keeping stable the environment surrounding itself.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>The \u201cThree Evils\u201d in Chinese Communist ideology are religious extremism, separatism, and terrorism. China <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/national-security\/2019\/05\/06\/feds-china-muslim-crackdown-number-detainees-may-have-tripled-less-than-1-year\/\"><span>invokes<\/span><\/a><span> the Three Evils to justify atrocities like the genocide of the Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang province.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The <\/span><i><span>Global Times <\/span><\/i><span>also railed against the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) for pushing east to \u201cerode Russia\u2019s surroundings\u201d and using a similar tactic to weaken China\u2019s territorial claims in the South and East China Seas.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>\u201cQuite often, Washington is behind some unrest around China,\u201d the <\/span><i><span>Global Times <\/span><\/i><span>muttered, presenting this as an excuse for China to support brutal dictatorships against their own people while simultaneously claiming to hold \u201cnonintervention in others\u2019 internal affairs\u201d as its highest foreign policy principle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cFacts have proven that it is rare to see the US and the West not get involved in major regional crises around the world, and in many cases they are the biggest sources of chaos and war. (Photo by ALEXANDER ZEMLIANICHENKO\/POOL\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>Kazakhstan\u2019s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev appears to have weathered the storm of protests, granting China its wish for stable strongman rule along its borders.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Russian Defense Ministry <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/russia-says-it-is-preparing-to-withdraw-troops-from-kazakhstan-11642081645\"><span>announced<\/span><\/a><span> on Thursday that Russian troops have completed their mission in Kazakhstan and will soon withdraw. In harmony with China\u2019s talk of \u201ccolor revolutions\u201d and the \u201cThree Evils,\u201d both Tokayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed the protests were orchestrated by hostile foreign powers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Russia\u2019s announcement seemed like a rebuke to skeptical observers like U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-asia-59918004\"><span>questioned<\/span><\/a><span> the need for outside troops to reinforce Kazakh police and implied Russia was using the protests as an excuse to permanently station its troops in Kazakhstan.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Sources in Kazakhstan told the <\/span><i><span>New York Times<\/span><\/i> <span>(<em>NYT<\/em>) on Thursday Russia might have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/01\/13\/world\/europe\/kazakhstan-russia-troops-withdrawal.html\">preferred<\/a> to keep its forces in the country for longer, but growing resentment from Kazakh citizens made withdrawal seem like a wiser policy.
