The federal government was just incompetent.\u2019 No, this is what they want, and the idea that they\u2019re willing to let people die of COVID or drug overdoses \u2014 knowing that this is going to happen \u2014 is, to me, criminal, and yet they get away with it, because they know they can\u2019t be impeached by Congress.&nbsp;Congress will never impeach them. It doesn\u2019t matter if half the country died. They would blame it on something else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paxton said, \u201cThe reality is they are contributing to the deaths of thousands of Americans on purpose and they\u2019re getting away with it. The American people need to understand this is no accident. This isn\u2019t like, \u2018Oh, we just aren\u2019t good at doing this.\u2019 This is like, \u2018No, we\u2019re good at doing this, and we\u2019re doing it on purpose.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paxton addressed the decision by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals to <a href=\"https:\/\/thetexan.news\/paxton-asks-texas-court-of-criminal-appeals-to-revisit-decision-axing-his-power-to-prosecute-election-crimes\/\">remove<\/a>&nbsp;authority from the state attorney general to prosecute election law violations. If the decision stands, he warned, Texas would become a \u201cone-party\u201d and \u201cDemocratic state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He stated, \u201c[Joe Biden has] had failure after failure, and they\u2019ve been purposeful failures. He\u2019s taken the heat for it, because people know it. And so [Biden\u2019s] best solution is, \u2018Let\u2019s move to [a] one-party country.\u2019 So if you can create laws where fraud is just part of the system \u2014 like it is in California or other states like that, where you don\u2019t have a two-party system and you never will, because it\u2019s always going to be rigged \u2014 the reality is [Biden thinks] that would be great for all these other states, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He went on, \u201cThey don\u2019t have to worry about people not liking what they\u2019re doing, because they don\u2019t have to worry about elections. They just get elected. Certainly \u2026 this Criminal Court of Appeals decision in Texas is the backway door of doing exactly what Joe Biden is trying to do nationally. They have come in here through the back door and pushed through a court decision that would do exactly what Joe Biden wants, which is a one-party system in Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrankly, if they get that in Texas, we will have a one-party system in the country,\u201d he concluded, \u201cbecause we won\u2019t win elections nationally, ever again. We won\u2019t win statewide in Texas anymore.
