Barbara Bush, the wife of the late former President George H. W. Bush and the mother of former President George W. Bush, died in 2018, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2018\/04\/17\/barbara-bush-dead-former-first-lady\/518856002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">USA Today<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook post reads, \u201cDid you know Betty White and Barbara Bush were sisters and their father was Aleister Crowley?\u201d But, contrary to the post\u2019s claim, Barbara Bush and White are not sisters, nor was Crowley their father.<\/p>\n<p>White was born in 1922 in Oak Park, Illinois, to parents Horace White and Tess Curtis White, according to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tv\/betty-white-the-golden-girls-and-hot-in-cleveland-star-dead-at-99\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">People Magazine<\/a>. White had no siblings, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Bush was born in 1925 to Pauline and Marvin Pierce in Rye, New York, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/about-the-white-house\/first-families\/barbara-pierce-bush\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The White House<\/a>. She was the third child of the couple\u2019s four children, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/local\/obituaries\/la-me-barbara-bush-20180417-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Crowley, who lived from 1875 to 1947, was a well-known occultist who created his own religion, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/biography\/Aleister-Crowley\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Britannica<\/a>. He married his second wife in 1929 but separated shortly thereafter.<\/p>\n<p>Crowley is, according to the Oxford Biography Dictionary, believed to have fathered other children, but there is no evidence he was directly related to White or Barbara Bush.
