alt=\"image\" \/><\/div>\n<p class=\"subheading\">A Texas woman has been arrested after authorities say they found a one-year-old girl hogtied and a two-year-old boy enclosed in a playpen in a locked bedroom of a San Antonio residence.<\/p>\n<p>Priscilla Ann Salais, 37, the children\u2019s temporary guardian, was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2022\/01\/11\/san-antonio-police-make-arrest-after-toddlers-were-found-tied-up-in-southeast-side-home\/\">taken<\/a> into custody on Tuesday and charged with two counts of child endangerment, according to KSAT.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Authorities discovered the children at a residence in the 400 block of Bailey Avenue on Sunday after a woman requested a welfare check on her grandchildren who were locked in a bedroom, KSAT reports.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-video\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SanAntonioPD\/videos\/886702865334771\" data-width=\"640\">\n<blockquote the scene, we had to breach the door to the bedroom to get in,\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SanAntonioPD\/videos\/886702865334771\">said<\/a> San Antonio Police Chief William McManus during a news conference. \u201cInside they found a one-year-old little girl who was bound \u2013 hands and feet hogtied \u2013 hands and feet bound together, black eye, bloody lip, and a little boy, a two-year-old little boy who was in a playpen that was covered on top, so it was like a cage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth children were heavily soiled, crying,\u201d McManus added. \u201cThey were taken into custody and turned over to CPS.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>ABC 7 <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7.com\/toddlers-tied-up-child-protective-services-san-antonio-texas-children-home-alone\/11455819\/\">reports<\/a> the children were at the home alone.<\/p>\n<p>After discovering the toddlers, the San Antonio Police Department applied for two arrest warrants for Salais on Sunday night and subsequently located and arrested her on Tuesday, McManus stated.<\/p>\n<p>Salais denied the charges and told reporters they should \u201cget their facts straight\u201d while authorities took her into custody, KSAT reports.<\/p>\n<p>According to the outlet, an affidavit states that Salais was given temporary custody of the toddlers as Child Protective Services (CPS) is investigating the children\u2019s parents regarding concerns of physical abuse.&nbsp;The biological mother, a woman named Isabella, said she trusted Salais to take care of the children and asserted the 37-year-old is her stepmother.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/foxsanantonio.com\/newsletter-daily\/arrest-made-in-connection-to-two-toddlers-being-tied-up-in-southeast-side-home\">believed<\/a> a five-month-old baby was also living at the residence, but the infant was found at a different home with another caretaker, KABB reports.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe two toddlers were taken to the hospital and all three children are under CPS care,\u201d KABB states.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChild endangerment carries a maximum sentence of two years, but I\u2019ll tell you what she did to these children is \u2013 I mean, it\u2019s
