Kristie Canegallo was previously with Goldman Sachs, the Obama admin\u2019s National Security Council, and most recently was Google\u2019s VP of Trust &amp; Safety where she wrote about \u201cSupporting the 2020 U.S. election\u201d\u2026 (cont.) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/I23MzCg3zk\">pic.twitter.com\/I23MzCg3zk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jon Feere (@JonFeere) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JonFeere\/status\/1480655556637446146?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 10, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>At the start of the campaigning season in 2020, Canegallo authored an article at Google\u2019s official blog in which she pledged to stop \u201cdisinformation campaigns\u201d and \u201cinauthentic activity\u201d on the platform, two terms that entered popular usage in Silicon Valley after 2016, and are frequently used as pretexts to suppress and censor conservatives.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2018\/09\/17\/bokhari-googles-values-are-more-zealous-than-partisan-medias\/\">Via Google<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Our Trust and Safety teams span the globe to monitor and disrupt account hijackings, inauthentic activity, disinformation campaigns, coordinated attacks, and other forms of abuse on our platforms on a 24\/7 basis.
