The rating is down 3% since November 2021, when Biden held a 36% approval rating.<\/p>\n<p>Hispanic voters were least supportive of Biden\u2019s job performance, with 28% saying they approve of how he is handling his duties, compared to 32% of white voters and 57% of black voters. Just 25% of independent voters said they approve of Biden\u2019s performance, while 57% said they disapprove.<\/p>\n<p>Voters were critical of Biden\u2019s handling of key issues, including the economy, the COVID-19 pandemic and foreign policy. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/20\/pete-buttigieg-supply-chain-transportation-department\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: POLL: Majority Of Americans Say Pete Buttigieg Is Failing To Deal With Supply Chain Crisis)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7331633\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7331633\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">President Joe Biden coughs as he talks to reporters about the November Jobs Report on Friday. The results follow several months of increasing inflation, with the Consumer Price Index currently <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/12\/inflation-bureau-labor-statistics-department-jerome-powell\/\"><u>rising<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;at its highest rate in 40 years.<\/p>\n<p>Americans also said they believed the economy is suffering, with 35% saying the economy is in a \u201cpoor\u201d condition and another 35% saying it is in a \u201cnot so good\u201d condition.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s handling of foreign policy received similar levels of disapproval, with only 35% saying they approve of his performance on the issue. The Biden administration received harsh <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/17\/former-obama-officials-criticize-joe-biden-afghanistan-withdrawal\/\"><u>criticism<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;for its withdrawal from Afghanistan in August that left hundreds of Americans stranded.<\/p>\n<p>Biden fared slightly better on COVID-19, with 39% of Americans saying they approve of his response to the virus, though 55% said they disapprove.<\/p>\n<p>Americans also viewed Biden as polarizing: 49% said Biden is dividing the United States, and 42% said they view the president as unifying the country.<\/p>\n<p>The poll surveyed 1,313 American adults from Jan. 7-10, and it has a margin of 2.7%.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
